    • Gareth Bale is serving the tail end of a two-match suspension for the home side, which will see Lucas Vazquez continue on the right wing.
    • Pepe has been passed fit after briefly working away from the group this week in training, but Nacho could potentially deputise for the veteran.
    • Cristiano Ronaldo will be back available for league action, with Karim Benzema likely to start up top despite Alvaro Morata coming back from a ban himself.

I expect the expected lineup to be changed btw, especially the midfielders. We'll most likely see Isco or James start. Althought both Marca and AS had Modric - Kroos - Casemiro starting, Zidane hinted Casemiro might need rest.

As usual Benzema might start ahead of Morata too.

The press conference was a joke.

Q: You play better with the 4-4-2 ....
    A: Always (presumably sarcastic?)
Q: .... almost always. Do you agree, or do you think the 4-3-3 plays better?
A: We've played many good games with the 4-4-3. It's true as you say that we are more balanced with the 4-4-2, but I don't think about these things ( :D ??:D ).
Q: Is the BBC compatible with the 4-4-2?
    A: No. No.
    Q: You can't play the BBC in a 4-4-2?
    A: Well .... no.

    Moments later.

Q: Could you expand on your answer about the BBC and the 4-4-2?
A: Actually, I was wrong, you can play the BBC in a 4-4-2, by using Bale in the middle. I was wrong, I am sorry. But I prefer the 4-4-3.
Q: Yes, but could you expand on why you prefer it? You said what you prefer, but not why?
A: They are more efficient in these positions. It's where they've played for a long time, even before I was here.

He handles most other questions fine, very diplomatically, but when it comes to the BBC and our formation, he's a fish out of water.

I'm starting to not feel Zizou right now. This whole BBC has become a great mess.

No Lucas please. James/Isco both can offer more, just no Lucas from the start.

I find his words troublesome. It seems he has zero idea how to set up 4-4-2, well neither he does 4-3-3, but in the latter at least he can play BBC - his out of the jail free card. But sadly, that card is not working.

With such reasoning he will be unemployed in the summer.

If i was Morata, i would be looking at the first away ticket in the summer.

Politics. If BBC are fit they will play. Nothing new there. This has been the case under Zidane, Benitez and Ancelotti. Their hands are tied.

We all know this, why is it still a discussion?

Barca lost today so it'll be interesting to see how we screw this up.

    We're incredibly mediocre too.

well if he knowingly put players who has been off-form ahead of deserving ones, you cant blame anyone but him.

I expect those off form players to ********ing turn it around with a chance like this one. Especially veterans such as Benzema, Marcelo, and Ronaldo.

We don't play 4-3-3. We attack in some variation of 4-3-3 with zero width, which is a problem because Ronaldo and Bale can't play as forwards in congested part of the pitch, but the real problem is that Bale needs to drops back in line to make it 4-4-2 wen we defend.
It's not even a system, it's just fielding 11 players and hoping it will work out. Lucky for us, individual quality makes it work 90% of the time.

what do you mean over? last season they had 10 points gap and still won just 1 point, So every team struggle at some momment. Don't know how you expect Real to escape 10 or more without some difficult moments. :)

This simply has to be a dominating win. And if possible, when we score, try to not give up a goal two minutes later. Thanks. Deportivo gave us a great opening and we have to take care of it.

Navas; Carvajal, Nacho, Ramos, Marcelo; James, Modric, Kroos, Isco; Morata, Ronaldo.

    Looks like a 4-4-2.
