Will it be something like this, or are we getting a beating?

You can't compare this team to the '95 one. That team was legendary and I honestly think we won't see a team like that ever again.

But it could end 0-2. Who knows? They've just started as we did and got a new coach, some new players. Maybe the form is not there yet, maybe they still need time to click.

But to be real I think we'll lose and I'm just hoping we won't get our arses handed to us. Our defense is looking shaky and looking at Madrid's roster they don't really need to play good as a team in order to score. A defensive f-up or a lucky bounce will see to it.

So I'm predicting 3-1, and we'll get some revenge with the same score in Amsterdam.

Ajax 1995, best clubteam ever, worldwide.
Maybe they'll play us drunk. Maybe not.
Maybe we should play defensively for once. Result is number one. Attacking against a far superior team is suicide.
Or we can play with real wingers, clubs nowadays don't have real backs anymore, only backs that can attack and not really defend like Sergio Ramos.
Playing with wingers will make Ramos attack less, and when he attacks, we can counter.

The amazing thing is that the Oranje will face our old star, Jari Litmanen, on Tuesday. He's still manning the midfield for Finland at the ripe age of 39!!!!!

I don't want to ruin your party but can I ask why we need separate game threads for clubs?

Because Ajax is so big that we need this.

I think a Dutch clubs in (Europe) or (Champions League) thread would suffice.

I've always selfishly wished that we could have a subforum for Ajax.

We should have a subforum for non-Ajax related topics.

I'm afraid so yes. Just one topic discussing Oranje and another where Johan is talking to herself.

I do think however that a Champions League topic might not be a bad idea.

I'm morally against it but it might be practical to field a 4-4-2 at the Bernabeu.

Sno incident reminds me of Ruben De La Red a bit.
He just collapsed and was never the same since.

And in true Real Madrid fashion they tried to stiff (no pun intended) him on his pay

1,500-monthly disability benefit. That is DISGRACEFUL!!

"At Ajax, the first thing they do is invite you to the museum to see all of the cups; there aren't many clubs with more trophies," the Dutchman told UEFA.com.

    I think that's very likely.

    ---------Sulejmani--El Hamdaoui
    ----------------De Jong------------
    --Emanuelson-------------De Zeeuw
    -----------------Enoh-----------------
    Anita--Ooijer----Alderweireld--VdWiel
    ---------------Stekelenburg---------

I'm afraid it's going to look like that.
