Tomorrows away match at Malaga will be televised live on BeIN Sports Espanhol at 1305 hrs PST, 1005 hrs EST. For Pepe Mel's sake the team that steps on the pitch better not be the same team which has lost their last three home games and has been outscored 3-8 in those matches. Viva Er Beti Conho!!

I am afraid that he will end up in loan terms like Thibalt Corrtois when he was loaned out to Atletico. He needed playing time and got plenty of it at Atletico where he excelled and then was picked back up by the Blues. Unlike Courtois, I do not think he will amount to much this season, but maybe next, remember he never played for the Blues A team but has played in the U-21 Reserves team.

On a side note Tarek who never even played one minute with the Betis A team was loaned out to Columbus Crew until June 2016 with an option extending the loan until Dec 2016. He will join ex Betico Cedrick who also plays for the crew.

    Viva Er Beti Conho!

First pre-season game played tonight against that todopoderoso El Palo CF. Final score 0-7 for the good guys,
    0-1 Jonas Martin 7'
    0-2 Jonas Martin 14'
    0-3 RC 27'
    0-4 Alex Alegria 48'
    0-5 Alex Alegira 52'
    0-6 Dani Ceballos 59'
    0-7 Alex Alegria 70'

At least we know our forwards can score against the lower league teams, we'll see what happens when they play some of their later scheduled friendlies against Boro, Fulham and Werder Bremen. Viva Er Beti Conho!!

Today Real Betis fired Gus Poyet after 3 months into the season - IMHO it's a knee jerk decision - Poyet wasn't familiar with the mechanics of La Liga, but the Board (which has been known to pull the plug fast) said enough was enough & now Victor Sanchez will be the Head Honcho. Let's see if this was a necessary decision by Betis

I guess it went south real fast when Supporters Gol Sur said they were boycotting the remaining home games as long as he remained as the skipper. Betis have now gone 7 coaches if you include both of Pepe Mel's spells since 12 Nov 2013. I would have preferred that Poyet stay on but his positioning RC24 on the left wing and then not starting him was his downfall and believe that the 1-6 ass whooping at home against Madrid is where Poyet's tenure as coach began to unravel and based on the following results he was doomed. The two week break would have helped him get the team on the right track. I believe that after the fans had to endure Lopera for so many years and now with all the access to social media, the fans are no longer tolerant of bad results and the Board of Directors are fearful of a FB/blog led rebellion of fans and they as you mentioned above decided on a knee jerk reaction. Time will tell, I do not believe that Victor Sanchez is the answer to Betis problems on and off the pitch. Would have preferred Serra Ferrer but believe with all the time away from the bench that he has lost the magic touch he had both times with Betis.

    Viva Er Beti Conho!
