I'm not renewing the full plan, maybe I'll do a 9 game or a small pack next year. Primarily, its the fact we have a one year old and too many of the matches start after bedtime. Though, if the team were better, I might be convinced to plan my summer around them. Right now, I think I'm better off watching it on tv and spending time with the fam.
I haven't heard anything like that, but it wouldn't surprise me. On a sadder note, we have reached the point where if the last person I contacted says, "No," this Saturday will be the first time I have ever been unable to even give away my tix for free.
I overlooked renewing due to a bit of a family emergency. Since the "deadline," I've received 1 text and 0 calls. Just received a form email that tells me I "forgot" to re-doop. Man, renewals must be awesome that they care so little about an account in default like mine.
I got that too. Made me irrationally angry for a moment to be told by this team that I had somehow "forgotten" to fork over hundreds of dollars to them.
When is the relocation event this year? I wonder if the cavalcade of crappiness is going to open up any primo seats. Nothing like front row seats to failure.
A friend of mine bought 2018 STs for the first time, really not sure why but his journey right? Anyway, he's already experienced front office suckitude. He's fully paid for 2018 but got a cold call for ST by a new sales team member cross referencing the wrong lists of people. Kid looked a a list of SoB members v 2017 STH and never bothered to check 2018. Came close to asking for his money back, calm guy but lost is $hit.
It was really, really the 22nd, no exceptions. Except if you call any time before the actual seat relocation event next week I'm sure you can get your same seats.
There was one of those in the row in front of us Sunday. I'd bet that whoever thought up the "Chief Tattoo Officer" came up with that one. It's just such a shitty thing to do. FWIW, there was not a sign on our (non-renewed) seats. I also got a personalized email from my ticket rep this morning that referenced the reasons I gave her for not renewing. Anyone else get that kind of treatment? Maybe I'm just not being firm enough with these people.
Maybe turn it around on your rep. Ask if they'd pay to come to Chester every week instead of getting paid to be there. Ask if they'd watch a complacent boring team 18 games a year with no expectation of change going forward.
I told her some time ago that I want to see a better coach and that was my reason for not renewing; have not heard back after she asked me whether that was the only reason and I replied 'yes'....
Union "can't miss" Marketing 101: publicly shame the customer....that said, the act of not renewing feels surprisingly liberating....
