The play in question is at 4:14 in the video above. Even if the bounce of the ball made it look more complicated that it actually was, he has to score that.
Those looked worse back before he was scoring goals. Aguero missed a true blue sitter on the weekend. No one cares.
I by no means intended to offer lazy analysis, or for that matter disparage Raul's game yesterday. But looking back on it, it wasn't the easiest of angles, as you guys mentioned.
Why are you capitulating? Even as an americanista it looked like a bad miss, participative performance notwithstanding. His and the commentators’ reactions indicate this too. He probably could have done better.
Damn, haven't watched any of his games but just based off the highlights, it's impressive how much of a threat he appears to be now. Seems like he gets himself into dangerous positions very often now. Brings a tear to my eye. Seems like there's no doubt that RJ is Mexico's #9 at the moment.
Context....he's been lights out, he's allowed to miss some here and there as long as he's producing. Cheech at his peak missed lots, all forwards do.
Not sure what context has to do with him missing a pretty good opportunity. I’m not saying he’s a bad forward or he’s not in form. He looked great otherwise.
