If I remember correctly he was benched at man u and benched at leverkusen, Madrid, and west ham, y'all can take the Busby award and share it amongst yourselves. Anyway back to Raul at wolves, he needs to impress both wolves management and the fans it's time for him to become the main striker on a team.

 

yeah but hernandez had like what 2 good seasons in EPL while 3-4 bad/average ones? Been here for 7-8 years and it was always stated in the threads that Mexicans couldn't do well in the EPL

 

Has had 2 really good chances to score. 1 on a counter-attack and the other from a nice through ball from Moutinho. Only a matter of time till wolves score.

 

One of those chances he did everything right. Just a brilliant save from the keeper. He's had a couple of missed passes but a solid performance so far.

The commentators were praising him saying that there isn't many CFs like him. Unselfish and willing to work for the team. I tend to agree that it is a great trait to have in a striker. I still want him to score though.

He's not a shoot first player. He's clearly helping the cause, imo assists are good as goals.

 

As long as the ball hits the back of the net.

 

I don't know if the Premier League stats page includes this morning's game, but according to their data:

• Jiménez has scored twice and ranks in 24th place among goal scorers thus far this season
• In the assists category, Jiménez has 3 which have him in 5th place among assist leaders
• Among shots on goal, Jiménez ranks 5th in the League with 24.

In all three of these categories, he is the Wolves top performer.

 

I think he has been key to their solid start this season, Wolves are in 7th place, which is pretty good for a team that just came back from the Championship.

Given he plays as center forward and has started in all games, that's not very surprising.
