The one that seems the most low to me is Celtic.....lovely day, first match of the season, championship flag being raised, stadium full of Celtic legends, me making my first appearance there in a few years ( ).......12k empty seats......a bit surprising.
Each to their own and I think i can take a slagging. It was the venom of the situation. They were all just looking for an excuse to have a go at something. That's just a small example. Plus those scummy bastards are from Paisley. It's the lowest of the low...
Isn't sell out Saturday next week (the 11th)? Thought they picked that day because the SPL will be missing both Celtic and Rangers?
Ross County's stadium only has 7,000 seats and the town of Dingwall has a opulation smaller than that. The team's officials know that when Celtic comes, there won't be enough seats for even half the visiting fans
Just home from Ibrox! One of the side effects of Rangers' demotion is that they entered this year's league cup in the first round. Tonight, a little over 38k of us witnessed the first round tie with East Fife. Fun party atmosphere....4-nil home win. Big week for me.....seen football at Hampden, Parkhead and Ibrox in a 5 day span....if Partick Thistle are at home on Saturday I might try and complete the Glasgow set!
Rangers were not demoted. They were liquidated. I was there too. Great atmosphere I have to say. Nice to see The Rangers fans are pretty touchy about the typical "Are you Rangers in disguise", "We've won more cups than you" type chants. The Rangers will absolutely demolish the 3rd division, I've no doubt. All kinds of records will be broken and it will become an absolute farce. The recent signings have just lifted them to another level by the looks of things. I'd be surprised if they lost one game, unless they give some kids a run out some time in February once the league is won.
interesting how it is not working out that way at all......early days yet but, as it stands, they are the 2nd best team in the 3rd division that has a home stadium in Glasgow, south of the clyde, with 50k seats.....i am sure that will change but it does not look likely to become farcical!
Rangers really should be demolishing that league with the money they've spent on that squad. When Gretna steam-rollered the 3rd, they completely outspent the rest but almost certainly aren't spending as much as The Rangers. Gretna dropped 10 points all season, Rangers have dropped 9 already. Ally McCoist is an absolutely, absolutely shite manager.
Can't think of anyone better who'd be willing to come. And at the risk of seeming slightly bitter, the referee vs Stirling was absolutely terrible. They should have had at least two players sent off.
