Beasley looked good yesterday for the Nats.

I've always backed DM. But if this is the market Smith has to work in considering how much money we took in last year then I'm not happy at all. I've always said it. But we should be following the example of PSV and Porto to a certain extent. Looking for young talent that we can sell on. Kenny Miller is useless!

I really hope Miller does not sign for Rangers. I'd prefer to see young Rory Loy get a chance in the first team, he will probably score more that that big donkey:mad:

Be funny if we got Gomis since Dundee United fans love him and hate Rangers.

Not happy that we signed Miller. I can only hope they team him up wth Boyd and Miller's hard work allows Boyd to be the best poacher hecan be!

Can't really say that any of our signings have got me excited. We have spent £6m so far. I'd rather have seen that spent on one player to be honest. I reckon we have a good squad. For me it was more about adding a couple of start players. Good striker. Creative midfielder. Someone to replace Broadfoot.

    quick question Burkies.

would you have preferred that instead of signing Lafferty Walter Smith would have been better using the money to try and secure Steven Davis. obviously i don't keep up with Rangers transfer affairs but he seemed as if he wanted to make a fist of it at Ibrox next season.

Who have Rangers even signed, apart from Lafferty?

I would like to see us keep him but I don't go along with the way allot of Rangers fans go on about him. He is good. But keeping Thompson is far more important to us.

Nah just rumours. It's a sad sad day when we cannot even compete wage wise with the likes of West Brom! I hope Platini gets all his plans through.

did Walter knacker Barry for the start of the new season or was he happy enough to take the pain killing injections in his ankle that he was receiving during last season?

certainly a blow, especially considering Davis hasn't been signed.

Big blow. We have got to sign a creative midfielder in the £4 - £5M category now. I really must be missing something about Davis. Don't get me wrong. He's good. But I think we can do without him. Thomson is the main man in midfield for me.

regarding Davis, i thought he took on the slack when Ferguson was unavailable or underperforming. i agree that Thomson came on a ton but i don't think he has the attacking instincts that Ferguson or Davis have shown.
