    Despite the loss, Majid Hosseini was excellent on his birthday in the first competitive match he ever started for Iran. For that match to be against Spain at the World Cup must be something. If Iran hadn't lost, it would have been the best birthday present he could have hoped for.

    I was really impressed with Iran. Looked so much better than against Morocco despite the results. Scared the living daylights out of me. Hope they continue the trend against Portugal. :thumbsup:

    Fernando Muslera in now leader in Uruguay for clean sheets in World Cups. He has 6 clean sheets and Ladislao Mazurkiewicz has 5.

    Technically correct, although on Møller's goal (the 1st one in the 1998 win over Nigeria) he had one foot in the box, and one foot out.
