Not really soccer related, but it is kind of. A Millwall fan, with absolutely zero thought for his own safety, fought off a London attacker:

"I'd had four or five pints...nothing major."

    Caution: Profanity in headline.

    "Upon further review..."

You are right. HOWEVER...with Turner Sports winning US rights to UEFA CL starting in 2018, one can't help to wonder what else they may have their eyes on.

It still is an awesome time to be a fan. Gone are the days when most games outside MLS and USA would be relegated to niche channels.

"It's an channel that cannot be found except by those who already know where it is."

Gone too are the days when you couldn't even get televised soccer, for the most part....

    You would know about that.

I don't even remember when TNT would cut away from live games for commercials. (I *do* remember ESPN side-by-side, however. They still use it during IRL races.)

I've noticed that ESPN will be showing a new 30 for 30 documentary on Thursday at 8 pm.

    George Best: All By Himself

George Best, Northern Ireland's legendary star, remains one of the most naturally gifted soccer players ever. Best's skill and exuberance lifted Manchester United, but his career was over before he turned 29, the result of his battle with alcoholism.

Should be worth a watch. 90 min (how appropriate).

Neymar to PSG for 222 million euros? With a 40 million euro signing bonus for him? Sweet jesus shit is getting crazy if this happens.

If what he's saying is true, then yes. The league has never enjoyed players pointing out there incompetence.

Also, if everything about the other players not getting fine is true, it's really upsetting. Why should some players have access to better equipment? Although MLS has never been known for its level playing field.

PSG signing Neymar looking more legit by the day. Apparently, he'll get 30 million euros a year NET as well as a 40 million euro signing bonus, and more. Plus that pesky 222 million euro transfer fee. Damn.

I'm not sure how they could have won here. If they did, people would have been happy, but MLS would have "sold out" in a sense.

Since they didn't abandon their core values for money, people are going to be angry.

MLS has core values? Pray tell.
