Indeed, Adam did--thanks largely to the excellent care from the tOSU docs and trauma guys. They likely saved his life. They certainly saved his ability to walk again. Of course, he never played again.... My HS QB, back in the day, had a different outcome. Dove into the pile and broke his neck--the ambulance guys did not immobilize his head and moved him (granted, the protocols were different back that long ago). He felt an electric shock when they moved his head--and was a quadriplegic the rest of his life. Eventually, he went to see Dr. Jack....
Here's an article about it. http://www.nydailynews.com/sports/zone-story-family-acts-mercy-article-1.1176622
FoxSoccer needs to eat a dick. http://www.foxsports.com/soccer/gallery/rankings-20-mls-cup-finals-best-worst-120716 20 2008: Columbus Crew 3, New York Red Bulls 1 The Crew were the best team in the regular season, capturing the Supporters' Shield. Meanwhile, the Red Bulls were a surprise team who made a shocking run to the final by winning the Western Conference*. This was a classic match-up of a very good team against a team that, well, wasn't and it lacked drama as the Crew cruised. * MLS had a really bizarre playoff format that sent the Red Bulls to the West as a wild card team. Thankfully, that format no longer exists.
Google translated a couple articles about the crash survivors. Neto's lung is infected, they were having trouble keeping him stable the last several days. He also has a fractured vertebrae that hasn't been able to be stabilized surgically yet. He's still comatose. Jackson Follmann had to have more of his right leg amputated due to infection. No word if they did it above the knee or if they'll try to keep it below the knee (outcomes are a lot better for below the knee) as they did in the first surgery. My assumption is they have kept him in a coma as well, but it wasn't mentioned in the most recent article.

So the Browns are building their training facilities at Tuttle Park near campus. It doesn't looks like the Crew are involved. I was hoping they could have shared the grounds like that was talked about within the last couple years.

What a load of BS. I can't believe the Cleveland Browns would pull a stunt like this. They actually expect us to believe they train?
David Satterwhite, CEO and President of the Dayton Dynamo, believes there is room to grow a Dayton soccer club back to the support levels seen by the original Dynamo and beyond. With a move into a Roger Glass Stadium in downtown Dayton for the 2017 NPSL season, the Dynamo look to tap into the potential of the Dayton soccer market and participate in the renaissance of the beautiful game in Ohio. Midfield Press was able to speak with Satterwhite to discuss the club’s past, present and future. http://midfieldpress.com/2016/12/20...occer-renaissance-with-downtown-stadium-move/

Ref assignments are out - and we get pube-head for ours. http://www.proreferees.com/2017-mls...eek-1.php?utm_source=t.co&utm_medium=referral 03/04/2017 Columbus Crew v Chicago Fire MAPFRE Stadium (2:00pm ET) REF: FOTIS BAZAKOS AR1: Danny Thornberry AR2: Kevin Klinger 4TH: Sorin Stoica
It's an easy trip for Sorin. He's from Akron. When he's super-bored, he refs some of my O-30 games, but I haven't seen him this winter yet.
I was at a referee certification class last fall just south of Dayton,West Carrollton, one of the referee staff mentioned he has done games at Crew stadium.
A very sad situation. I would not have wanted to be the one making that decision! But I can understand it.
https://www.bloomberg.com/news/arti...-stream-mexican-soccer-in-deal-with-univision Facebook will have live streams of FMF matches in English for US audiences.
Ha! It's actually not a bad move, as the cool kids these days don't subscribe to pay-TV services. Some may not have a TV. But they all have smartphones or tablets. (Insert comment about Snapchat or whatever the "flavor of the month" is.) There's also a couple USMNTers down there.
And now they'll have MLS games. http://www.mlssoccer.com/post/2017/...ce-deal-broadcast-games-english-facebook-live
