Borre does well from a header but the goalie saves and later in the first half gets in alone vs the goalie but hits it wide, didn't have a great angle on the chance. very lively though.
Take it as you will..
I'd prefer if he stayed at River for a couple of years and was then sold to a different euro team if he wanted, but given that Atlético do have some power over his destiny... I don't like Cholo as a coach, he chews the players up and if he doesn't like them usually throws them away. Too rigid.
In the case that he returns to Atletico, yes... although in a way it's like they'd only be paying River $3,500,000, since we gave them 3.5m to acquire him last year. If he stays in River, we are contractually obligated to pay another 3.5m at the end of the year. In other words, whichever club keeps him is going to be paying 7m total to the other.
"Gallardo potenció a Borré.
thing is after the season resets in Argentina in Feb, I'm sure the club will lose several players, Quintero, Nandez, Pity just to name a few and at this point he's won the most coveted trophy a player can win. I would love for him to have a great Club World Cup and then give Europe a new try. I feel his time in RP has helped him mature greatly and he's confident. It'll be hard to replicate an amazing 2018 for RP. Hope we see him for March friendlies.
Going by the eye test he does not seem ready for Europe to me. It is difficult because he will have to start all over and try to prove himself all over. Which could be a good thing in the long run but in the short term I think it will hurt his chances at playing in the Copa America (or even making the roster)..
Yeah He got it together as the season went on. One more season to solidify his game and toughness under Gallardo would be very helpful for his growth
Yeah I wouldn't want him to move right now, his game has really taken off just recently and to go somewhere and go through the process of getting integrated all over again could stall his development. The guy has really made big strides, stay for at least one more season and now that he's comfortable and trusted let him do it for a full season. Young players need time to grow, and especially for guys who haven't played a ton or not been trusted its good to strike while the iron is hot rather then take a risk that his development could stall again.

Borre got taken down for and scored a penalty in the consolation game against Kashima. He played a good game, and was very active in the first half. Quintero came on in the 2nd and, as usual, took control of the match. He orchestrated the 2nd goal.

I hope he stays. His touch today was impeccable. Hasn't looked this good as the lone striker since his sub 20 days
