I wonder how this forum would have been in 1994 and 1998.....

Pibe Valderrama is 32 going into WC 94...too old!

Pibe Valderrama is 36 going into WC 98....way too old!!!!

Pibe Valderrama plays in MLS....shouldn't be considered for NT!!!

    ;)

Falcaos playing style is not based on speed and that's a good thing. He has lost some speed already but he has compensated it by readjusting his style. He is one of the smartest strikers I know. Who knows what will happen in four years but right now Falcao in a wheelchair is better than our other strikers combined.

At 36 Falcao will probably be playing at River Plate or Millonarios.

Maturana will probably call him up.

    Sure, why not?
People have doubted that he could be this good at the present time so you never know.
Just hope he can be healthy.

Monaco lose 3-0 at home to Porto, that will hurt for their chances at advancement. Monaco haven't been that great overall lately, have had some good results but surrendering way too much possession and losing so many key players is showing a little.

I wonder how Falcao would have handled scoring a goal against Porto. Prob no celebration, no?

Monaco has has a history of doing poorly at home and doing much better on the road.
Their fans let other teams fans take over the stadium chants at times. So I am not surprised but the loss. 0-3 seems really bad though. Hopefully they find a way to win in Portugal and get surprise results elsewhere.

I personally thought that Porto had grown weaker over the years; a team like Monaco isn't a push over by any means...

Monaco just haven't been that good so far this season, they've been scoring and Falcao has been bailing them out but their level from last year is much lower, they were really good last year. Think they'll be ok, Porto even though they go through players have a very good scouting system and always have good players in the pipeline, never a walkover.

Monaco sold a lot of good talented players and did not replace those players with equal talent,
So anyone who thought they were going to be as good as last season was kinda living in a dream world.

The talent that they lost was huge. Bakayoko, Mendy, Bernardo Silva, and of course Mbappe. The players they brought in to replace them should not be expected to have as much impact as those guys this season.

Maybe not this season and not at this moment...........but it supposed that tielemmans is going to be the star of the future he is in all the ranking of good young players

Jovetic is crack and keita balde was one of the ebt plaer of serie a last season.

    Ghezzal , lopez arent bad.

A year ago we didnt have idea how good were mbappe, mendy, bakayoko etc....

I just remember the first year that we watched as monaco.......and people said that fabinho was shit, as well as ferreira carrasco,,,,,,,,,,then we know the final of the story,

The management and scouting of monaco in this 4 years have been brilliant.........this year isnt the excepetion but all need adaptation.

They lost james and then arrived bernardo
they lost martial and bring mbappe
They lost kurzawa and mendy arrived

in the moment of the transfers you didnt know how good they were.......just "reviews of promises" like the cases of lopes, balde and teillemans

    My general point still stands.
When you lose the talent that they lost no one should expect them to be as successful this season.

Only way he will win one is if we
A.) make it to the WC
    B.) Win it
C.) he is one of the top scorers if not the top scorer
D.) has another epic year for Monaco in 2018

Even then it’s a popularity contest and they will give it to Ronaldo or Messi(highly unlikely either win the WC)

In all honesty what pisses me off most about not going to Russia is fking Falcao never will play at a WC!! Probably our best player ever and because of a bullshit injury and god awful coaches his whole career for the NT we basically just wasted his talent.
