as a non-american, i feel like the new main page of the website (as of monday) is racist to non-americans. it shows huge US flags and paints all bigsoccer members as americans/american soccer fans. i understand that the website is american but the majority of members are not american/not american soccer fans. this is discriminatory towards.. well i cant say minority.. but the majority of valued members and customers here.
what is your opinion, my bosnian friend? there are people affected by the flood in bosnia but the main page neglects them. the main page is only about the USA. it is called WORLD cup for a reason. we should celebrate diversity.
bottom line is that it is showing US flags only. therefore, it is not inclusive of other countries, or people who represent other countries, and/or cheer for them (even if they reside within the USA), of which make up the majority of members on bigsoccer. it is strange that in the age of multiculturalism, bigsoccer, apparently, is acting in a backwards manner. this becomes stranger once you factor in that these anti-multicultural changes were adopted primarily for the WORLD cup, a tournament that celebrates diversity instead of division.
dont compare apples to oranges. racism is not tolerated on these boards. niether is agism, sexism, or nationalism (in the ism way), etc... so the american flags on the front page are counter to the sites rules.
Funny thing is if it wasn't for the OP I wouldn't have even remembered what was on the home page. Good going you American sympathiser.
still yellow i see? and no, not being racist. but its funny if i did not type 'not being racist' that post would be deleted and an infraction handed out, yet the face of the website is discriminatory to most of its members.
so by your logic if somebody protests against something they are sympathizing against what they are protesting against if that injustice was hidden? factually and logically, according to you, the 99% protesting against wall street are wall street sympathizers. however, simple math does not agree with you. 99% cant be the 1%. you need both to add up to 100%. just like 1+1=2 as another member said.
