If you include 2013, we probably had the worst four year span the league history. 2013....14-13-07 2014....06-10-18 (20-23-25) 2015....08-20-06 (28-43-31) 2016....07-17-10 (35-60-41) We can thank Andi for this.....
Nope, almost, but nope. Fewest wins in total over three straight years, but not worst overall. Chivas last three years were worse. 2014 07-18-09 2015 06-20-08 2016 09-19-06 22-56-23 89 points total Fire 2014....06-10-18 2015....08-20-06 2016....07-17-10 21-47-31 97 points total Chivas USA 2011-2015 30-71-35 (W-L-T) overall. Toss in 2010 and 38-89-41 We are almost getting to Chivas level suckage. Thank you, Nelson Rodriguez. Toronto 2010-2014 26-64-42 (W-L-T) Significantly worse than the Fire. Philadelphia have never won more than 12 games a season.
I shudder to think of how bad San Jose must be both on and off the field to be on their way to winning this dubious honor over the Fire.
I wonder who was the club president and leader ofsuch a horrible Chivas USA team? https://www.mlssoccer.com/post/2014...ue-exec-nelson-rodriguez-new-president-chivas
My favorite part of this trophy is how the builder didn't bother to drill a pilot hole in the spoon and ended up cracking it with the bottom nail. The lack of foresight and inattention to detail/final result seem perfect for this award.
That's funny because I wanted to be involved in this trophy building and had some ideas but alas... don't invite the carpenter!
The numbers are getting tighter: http://www.sportsclubstats.com/USA/Chicago.html Playoffs- .05% Wooden Spoon- 11% W-D-L 7-0-0 = 68% chance at playoffs 6-1-0 = 28% chance at playoffs 0-3-4 = 54% chance at WS 1-0-6 = 44% chance at WS Both playoffs and wooden spoon are, predictably, becoming less likely every day with the WS, much more likely. However, 2 wins out of the last 7 and the Fire's chances for the WS are toast.
Well we were the third best team in league last season and now one of the worst. Kind of similar isn't it.
Just saying that if they didn't blow the lead it would be a race to the spoonn with them. San Jose 23pts and us with 24pts, I still think we can win the spoon. As long as Pauno is our coach anything is possible.
I'm just saying that the Fire crapped the bed and that N-Rod really blew the chance to build off of 2017. It's like he had a 2-0 lead going into this year and blew it.
This year was all about saving up on TAM/GAM, considering we used all of it in 2017. We had to have enough to buy down contracts in order for Andi not to use any of his (wife's) money.
