Joint top-scorer when you exclude pk's. An American-raised striker who was ignored for years because of circumstances out of his control so now represents another country, shares that distinction with a majorly hyped player from the top team in our region during a qualifying campaign where we finished fifth.

This thread deserves more attention, because of the implication.

Apparently they can, because few are discussing it.

Incidentally, I was going to make that reference, but this board also underrates Sunny tie-ins I find.

JK and Arena passed up on the big fella. I thought he has something different to offer to our program, some of his goals scored were of the difficult variety. I believe the last GC was the last chance we got to invite him, Arena's choice was Kennie Saeif. I wished he would have invited both.

I console myself by thinking if he had chosen us, he'd be out for months with some terrible injury.

Is not that he choose someone else because he wanted to, we never invited him or even scouted him.

  15. @freisland , did you see that completely controlled lift shot! He makes you eat your words about him, doesnot he;)

He's for sure performing better than I would have predicted, given the little I saw of him at Hearts. Not as convinced about his foot work as you, perhaps. (Who among us doesn't remember Tore Flo...) But he's obviously got good enough touch for a big man and, unlike Flo can and will score with his head. Will be interesting to see if he can, at 26, break into the Norweigan Senior ranks.

I wish the guy nothing but success. He looks like he'll be useful at this level for a few more years to come. I wouldn't be surprised if he gets a look in Germany. If he can outscore Wood, Green and AronJo BS will explode.

Gotta imagine he's performing far better than anyone would have expected 6 months or 1 year ago. He's been a starter for Norway. Just waiting for his 1st goal.

I thought he had something unique, even when he was playing at Atletico CP in Portugal second division (same as Parks), the type of goals he was scoring were of the "how dare you" variety. Too bad a New Yorker kid going to a national team that really wanted him.

"Been a starter..." for March... Not saying he won't lock down the slot, but he's not set yet. B'mouth's King is his age ( a few months younger) and has 10 goals in 31 caps. Palace's Sorloth is 22 or so, and has 12 sr. caps and a truckload of U apps for Norway. Kamara has 10 apps/4 goals, and a bunch of youth caps.

So, I'm hoping BMJ becomes a regular, but it's not set yet.
