Bjorn didn't manage to score in an 0-3 defeat at home against Utrecht. Apparently he did hit the post from a long distance shot, and did record a solid rating of 7, 2nd on the team, per WhoScored.

I wish him luck with Norway. They only seem to have Joshua King at Bournemouth and a few other "barely OK" options

Playing Euro qualifiers is for sure better than not playing in Concacaf for most palyers.

It's not as if they have any definite goalscorers. Bjorn at least adds the height factor.

Long profile (in Dutch) (registration required):

    https://www.vi.nl/pro/analyse/amerikaanse-noor-na-tien-transfers-in-zeven-jaar-trots-op-ado

Ever since 2010 he decided to leave everything in the United States to become a professional football player in Europe, he made as many as ten transfers. "People who only look at my cv will say: So many clubs in so little time, with that guest, something has to be done. But that's not true. I have taken all these steps because they brought me closer to my dream: prof football player. For an American, the route thereafter is very different from anyone in the Netherlands."

He has not come to Europe to play football in his second country for clubs from the lower divisions. "The US was my home, but that was Norway in a sense too. I spoke the language quite well, and I realized that I needed something completely new to take the next step, a completely new environment.

Two years after he had walked by himself at a scouting event in France, Johnsen suddenly returns to Benfica and Sporting. He has talks with the chairmen and directors of the clubs, behind the scenes, negotiations are taking place. "Even a special training match was organized for me, from Atlético CP against Sporting. So that club could see me again. It was really crazy. " There is also interest in the MLS, the Chinese league, and there is an offer at Queens Park Rangers. But Benfica is prepared to pack and Johnsen likes to go there.

"Everything was around. I knew my new salary, knew my back number and had discussed all plans with Benfica. I would start in the second team and from there make the step to the first. " However, the negotiations between Atlético CP and Benfica went smoothly. "But I was promised that it would really come true before closing the market. It would happen on January 30, 2015. So I sat nervously at home waiting for a phone call, which did not come. Also on the last day no one called. It was terrible. I thought my dream would come true, I would finally become a professional footballer, get a contract I could live with. And suddenly everything fell into it. I sat there ... I had not been able to buy new clothes since my departure from Norway, shopping was always difficult."
