If Zlatan Ibrahimovic was in this Swedish team they wouldn’t have come this far

If the coach knows how to use him, he should be a plus...

Maybe... But at least it would be watchable.

you think that Sweden will be drawn into England's group in qualifying? I wouldn't be too surprised to see both seeded, actually.

That is true, without checking the results I'm sure you've done well against us. We're also nations that like each other generally. I just hope we can do it tonight...

Sweden team is all about team work, not individual oriented team...They do everything for each other. They do everything as a team...

They are not my favorite. They are competent players. I mean, they are not Russia.

Sweden's finishing is dreadful, but what they lack in offensive finesse they have in spades on heart and physical (and mental) strength. The ultimate european dark horses deservedly got their spot in the final 8. Unlike Switzerland who got a huge help from the refs in the group stages.

Another favourite goes down facing Sweden. Holland, Italy, Mexico and now Switzerland... They almost got Germany too. But all ended well in the end anyway.

True. And that is why I'm rooting for Croatia and Modric.

Yep. I do think You Will beat us if you make it past Colombia. But we will put up a hell of a fight.

Every swede has grown up watching english football on saturdays since the 1960s. This sort of makes it feel like a derby for us. Except now in later years when You have to pay to see the games on the football channels.

    Congratulations to Sweden.

You waited patiently and got your goal. We just weren’t good enough. It’s always the same story when we get to the elimination rounds. It’s pathetic.

Didn't realise you had to pay now. Doesn't seem right unless it is a small fee. I suppose La Liga is on Sky with the Bundesliga and Ligue 1 on BTSport so it is the same here. Do you get a free to air highlights show for the Premier League like we do?

    Anyway well done Sweden.

The Swedish players looked tired early in the second half. Even Forsberg's goal seemed the consequence of him losing his physical will and simply forcing out a shot. And the finishing today was really poor. Berg should have had a hat-trick. Ekdal missed a sitter. Sweden look like they've reached their limits.
