Can't imagine another game having the same magnitude. Definitely the biggest match of the globalized, world football scene pre-world cup.

    Bring it!

I would rather have faced Barca when our defense isn't shit. Either way, have to beat the best and all that nonsense. If we manage to get past Barca I would feel very good about our chances in the final.

I can't wait for this tie, it should be very interesting indeed. Both teams have flair, class and top players so it's hard to even imagine who will come out on top. I am just hoping it's barca. I think the winner of this tie will go onto lifting the trophy.

I also think Kaka, Sheva, Inzaghi, Ronadinho, Eto'o and Messi are gonna decide this tie one way or another.

This is the first time since 2003 that Milan is going into a CL match as a clear underdog. It will be interesting to see how they respond. I expect a 0-0 match at the San Siro with everything to play at the Nou Camp. And I'm gonna put my money on Sheva. He never lets us down :)

Nah. Barca won't keep a clean sheet at the San Siro. I think
Milan will go to Spain a goal to the good but whether that is
enough, I don't know. I can see this one going to penalties ...

Yep to be the best, one has to beat the best so i agree with your reasoning. It will be a tough match for both sides and should go all the way especially that both sides will be at full strength.

Deco is out of the first leg but injured players like Rafa, Messi, Motta and Edmilson are all near full fitness and should be available.

For Milan i don`t see any major injury concerns with the exception of long term casualty Cafu. As for suspensions, i don`t think there is a risk of any player missing the first or second leg, not sure however.

    What? You're craaaazy man.

Milan don't have to prove anything to anyone, they're in the Champions League semi final for the second year in a row despite having probably the worst defeat in European club history (to my memory) last year (and the year before if you want to include Depor); and they're still back again vying for another shot at the title...

Oppositely Barca have everything to prove; touted as the most talented team in Europe yet they have nothing outside of Spain to show for it, this will be the biggest game of their lives not to mention Rikyaards most important challenge of his coaching career.

No mattert what happens, this Milan team is a rock. And if you remember the movies Rocky comesback in the second film to take it all.

Achilles, you really can't be doing this all the time, it's absolutely pathetic. This is the same thing you posted on the Chelsea boards when we were playing Chelsea, then on the Benfica boards when we were playing Benfica and now here. IF we do beat Milan, I won't be surprised to see your post in the Arsenal or Villareal boards. As they say, if you can't beat them, join them. We are not closing the doors for you to support us.

I think it's not incredibly out of place to say THIS matchup is the finals, whether benfica or arsenal advances, they will be the clear underdog to these 2 gigantic clubs playing for a go at the Trophy. Hopefully Milan can shut down Barca's offense and make a go at the finals... Please Benfica, you must win!

LOL. Who do you think is more scared ahead of this game, Gaucho
or Gattuso? The answer should be obvious.

I have a feeling Gattuso is going to be extra aggressive this match. Ancelotti will most definitely give him the task of staying with Ronaldinho. I would just like to see Ronaldinho dribbling with the ball and then a raging Gattuso coming out of nowhere with a slide tackle winning the ball cleanly...:)

The match-up has happened before. Last season Milan and Barca
played twice in the group stage (1-0 and 1-2) and Gattuso did well
against Ronaldinho, especially in the game at San Siro. He's a pretty
good defender and not just an ankle-biter. But really, it only takes
Ronaldinho a moment of skill to change a game, as you saw from that
'golazzo' he scored at Camp Nou where he jinked past Maldini. Rino is
    a tough dude, but he won't be relishing this match-up . . .

I know, Ronaldinho is a special player and it will be tough. Kaka' has to step it up, as he's been asleep the past few games.

I know, why is Pirlo not kicking like he used to, why can't he just take more kicks and not just free kicks? Where is Kaka and his majic? We can't rely on Sheva and Pippo all the time...
