Well, Honduras is up 5-1 on aggregate so I wouldn't say they're sweating bullets.

If they play like this in the next round....believe me they will. And PR has 2 goals, not 1.

    Grenada-Costa Rica highlights:
    http://www.teletica.com/videos7/deportes/2008/sele-granada-14.wmv

--Roberts definitely should have been awarded a penalty in the first half, possibly a red card for the defender too.

--On the red card against Charles, he has the ball in the Costa Rican end, is holding off a defender, and decides to throw an elbow...hard to tell if it connected without a closer camera angle but not a smart play.

    Thanks for the link :)

Seems to me like Costa Rica were very lucky to get away with a draw. IMO, Grenada had two clear penalties turned down. While the first goal they conceded was a HUGE mistake by the defender.

Good luck to both teams in the next round.

At first glance it looks like the red card was warranted. The Costa Rican player went down pretty easily, and I'm pretty sure that elbow caught him in the chest and not the face, but it was stupid and blatant.

It does look as though that first tug should have been a Grenadan penalty. 3-0 would have finished off the Ticos i think. It's too hard to tell with the second fall whether it was a good tackle or not, and the third one looked like a blatant dive.

Grenada surprised me with how well they moved the ball in those highlights. Hopefully the second leg will be televised.

Stonewall penalty in the first half and a red for being last man back. Should have been 3-0 with Costa Rica a man down. Shocking refereeing there.

Keystone Cop defending for the first goal for Costa Rica.

Clear sending off by the Left Winger for Grenada, WTF was he thinking? And 3 feet in front of the referee at that.

Second penalty shout for Grenada - good no call in my opinion, went down way too easily.

You get the feeling that Grenada let Costa Rica off the hook here, and that they have missed their chance. Costa Rica are some lucky boys tonight, but you feel that they will have enough to get it done at the Saprissa.

Costa Rica 3-1 Grenada in the return leg for me.

The second CR was also was the result of a horrible unforced turnover in the midfield and then a failed clearance. If Grenada was a bit tidier, it looks like that game could have been 4-0 or 5-0 to them. The first one appeared to be a clear penalty.

We know CR is supposedly down, but this far down? Grenada was one of the better Caribbean islands and showed some skill against the US in 2004, but CR looks like it got dominated on the road.

Another Q: Why did CR end up with the road leg first?

I believe that which team had the first road leg was not based on seeding, but was also part of the draw. So all that was determined last year at the Preliminary Draw.

Actually, Grenada in 2004 showed a lot of skill. They gave the US a run for their money in Grenada, but that time around the US played their first leg at home and had won 3-0 comfortably. Let's see how Costa Rica is at home. It's never easy for any team to play against them at Saprissa.

Surinam beating Guyana isn't too much of a surprise. Surinam is actually an "old" soccer country, it's their #1 sport, and they've produced a few Dutch greats. Their problem is a lack of money, so I'd like to see them make the semi round.

Costa Rica...dear Lord. They'll pull it out in San Jose though. Grenada have to win there pretty much due to the ticos' away goals. Can't see them doing it.

Honduras were their usual selves in beating Puerto Rico. Cold, then hot.

No problems for the Guats as expected.
