Many thanks for the link, Nanbawan :)

And for those who are interested in having further discussion with Stade Rennes fans in English, you can also come and meet us on Stade Rennais Online's forum, where we just launched the "Red and Black Corner", a message board exclusively in english

See you soon, here or on Stade Rennais Online :)

You're welcome on both meaning of the term. :)

Good week for the Rennais with the 4-0 drubbing of ACA. OK, no need to boast about that but 11 goals for and 0 against in 2 games is nice, especially since there was a concern about SRFC ability to get it done.

Looks like Tettey and Brahimi are good "winter transfers" if I may say so...

Indeed, and more than the result, the style has been amazing on both games so far in 2011. Another game labelled as "easy" next week-end, before a trip to Sochaux that should be the first real test of 2011.

If we can pass that one with the same type of good possession and clinical finish, then we might well become a serious contender.

Meanwhile, I invite you to go and have a look at the outstanding article posted by our redactor Sylvain on Stade Rennais Online.

A look at the 2003 and 2008 youth generation, both winners of the Gambardella Cup, at the Academy, at their evolution, at the perspectives. A look at why Rennes has got the best Academy in France too. A beautiful piece about the Stade Rennais:

A little spanking from time to time may be a healthy thing. Provided it doesn't make things much worse...

That's the one thing I hate sometimes, losing once is painful enough but starting a bad series because of one shocking defeat is unforgivable.

Can someone who has seen M'Vila regularly please give me a thorough description of him as a player? I've heard a lot of praise, but except from the game against Norway never really seen him.

SR definitely had le cul bordé de nouilles last night. téfécé bossed them all over the field both halves, blew chance after chance, and gave up two idiot goals, one at the end of each half.

Rennes is Sendai's sister city in France. There are links and exchange programmes.

My thoughts - along many of my compatriots - are with you guys. Wish you the best to recover from the grief and the losses...

A Stade Rennes-Vegalta Sendai charity match seems like a good idea.

Et voilà ! I was fearing the double Breton derby confrontations and I was so right...Two losses against Brest and -worse - at home against Lorient...

I never thought we would fighting for the title, I hoped we could clinch 3rd spot but right now, it's not even sure we can stay in the top 5...And that would be disappointing.

A strange year it has been, but yet again the end might sound the same as in the past..."If only" and "what if" will chime in the Rennes fans heads, again.

Maybe the Europa League is a better fit for Rennes anyway, don't want to become Auxerre 2.0 next year ;)

True*, but he was offered a prolongation that he turned down for PSG iirc.

*Which is worse in fact since since it didn't even yield some bucks...;)

Rennes won the annual ugly game against Auxerre, yesterday @ L'abbé Deschamps. Now if we do not achieve anything this year...

Won't be the Coupe de la Ligue...

Rennes really needs some group psychologist or something. Granted they lacked réussite against Le Mans but in those games, they look like they are short on mental energy.

well you've come to the right place. the 150,000€ offer SRFC is putting together for hazard is the best kept secret in football. big lights bright city mean nothing to this lad. he's addicted to buckwheat pancakes and that's that.

Don't forget the flame grilled sausages, don't forget that !

The Route de Lorient stadium is probably one of the few that you can find from 2 miles afar just by using your nose...
