I have two sons, one 3 1/2 and the other 2. I constantly get their music stuck in my head. This leads to a few questions:

    1. Did Humpty Dumpty have insurance?

    2. What if I am not happy, instead of clapping can I just punch someone in the face?

    3. Was the Grand Old Duke of York a conscientious objector?

    4. If you put the banjo over your back, could you get to Louisiana quicker?

    6. Shouldn't the Wiggles be setting a better example by taking mass transit instead of taking the Big Red Car everywhere? (At least they're carpooling though.)

Aren't the Wonder Pets basically saying they suck when it comes to handling situations individually?

And why do the Backyardigans promote such a sheltered existence of staying in ones backyard simply because they can imagine that they have everything they will ever need or want?

How did Steve or Joe (from Blue's Clues) graduate from high school and enter college without knowing how to read, count or recognize basic shapes?

why doesn't it annoy the other engines more that thomas seems to get preferential treatment from the fat controller?

is it simply because he's the no.1 engine....?

    Veering off topic here:

Steve Burns (original Blues Clues host) and Steven Drozd (drummer/multi-instrumentalist from the Flaming Lips) have an awesome song played on "Jacks Big Music" show called 'The Groundhog Song.'

Do yourselves a favor, and look it up. My 19 month old plays air drums and air guitar to it.:D

Jacks is by far the best of all of my kids shows (for me :D). Buddy Guy had a great appearance as the King of Swing.

A tuffet is a three legged milking stool.

    9) How is it possible to live in a shoe? Was it a prophecy of Chicago condo developments?

'Macaroni' was period slang for 'cool', 'hip', 'rico suave'. Simply sticking a feather in a cap and thinking it cool was the act of a rube from the sticks, making the dweeb the subject of ridicule.

    9) Was 'ring around the rosey' really about the plague?

sort of ... the english were fans of italian fashions but the colonists couldn't afford them, etc. ... so they mocked that they stick a feather in their hats to be fashionable, Macroni was a kind of style. like hipster is today.

actually, the entire song is just the english making fun of us. but yet we love it. what a country!

Why the ******** does her backpack have to repeat his own name like what 10 times?

And what's with the dreadfully long pauses?
My child can respond much faster than that, and she's not even 2.

I find the story of Little Jack Horner very disturbing. Why did he put in his thumb? That really seems quite wrong to me.

And I was shocked to discover that, apparently, LJH may have been of African descent, according to this picture, provided by Google. Who knew?

And, LBNL, the dude may be sitting on a tuffet. Amazing.

Another Wonder Pets related question -- why don't they ever chew out the neglectful critter parents who let the baby critters get into the dangerous situation that requires the Wonder Pets to save them? At the end of each story, the parent comes up and says, "thank you Wonder Pets for saving my baby!" - why don't the Wonder Pets go "hey, next time, try keeping an eye on your baby before she falls in the canal!"

It has been strictly forbidden in THIS household. All their little teasers for the last couple months were enough to make me grossed out.

I was actually totally stunned that crap like that made it onto a big cable channel like Nickelodeon. At first I thought it was just for one of the sort of peripheral channels like Noggin or Sprout. Anywho, I flip through my on-screen guide really quickly now so that my kids won't ask about it! :D
