If Club America had made it to the finals of the Mexican league playoffs (which Chivas just won over the weekend by beating Toluca), how would the Club World Cup have fit into the schedule for America? If America had beaten Chivas in the semis, would they have been forced to skip the CWC to play Toluca in the final? Thanks in advance for an answer.
Where did you hear this? So they couldn't just delay the Final until America was done with the CWC. So this means this will be the plan every year if a CWC team makes the Final, which always conflicts with the CWC. Ridiculous, they're forcing teams to throw away a league title.
