And apparently still is as ETG are using their 3rd keeper in today's cup match.

Evian's backup GK came back from injury. Westberg is now number 3.

That is unfortunate, especially after he performed so well against Marseille. And now they replace him and are immediately eliminated from the cup. Hopefully he gathered some interest for the summer.

Westberg has not played since the Marseille cup match but he has been making the bench regularly and Evian Thonon Gaillard are leading Ligue 2 with 53 points form 32 games (they are playing right now).

I don't know how promotion works but it is pretty crowded at the top. Quentin's former club Troyes are now in 16th.

Top three go up. Evian is in good position with a three point lead over #4 and a game in hand, but as you said, it's crowded.

Westberg's inclusion in the matchday squad has been inconsistent since the beginning of March. He only sat on the bench once in March and twice in April.

Evian's starting keeper got injured on Monday night and is done for the remainder of the season. Westberg wasn't on the bench, so Durand came in.

Top three teams are level on 58 points with three games remaining. Fourth place and fifth place are two and five points behind, respectively.

Even though Westberg wasn't on the bench in that last game, this article makes it sound like the starting keeper decision for the rest of the season is a toss up. It also says a decision will be made today, but there doesn't seem to be anything on ETG's website about it.

If the decision goes our boy's way, it'll be an incredibly exciting run to close the season:

Ended 3-0. What is better than shutting out your old team that let you go?

Evian are really close to securing promotion. They have a 5 pt lead on the 4th placed team with only 2 games left. I hope Quentin signs an extension or new contract with them.

Also, that pun is quite win-ful.

Any Ligue 2 followers or Evian fans know if he'll be with the team? Seems like it would be so that with more cash they'd be able to get him a deal.

Reims' goal starts at 1:10 of this video. I think you have to say that Westberg is partly at fault for coming out to a ball he had no chance of getting. Terrible assist by one of his teammates, though.

Westberg went 90 today in the last match of the season, Evian won 4-3 and are officially the Ligue 2 champions.

Congratulations to Quentin & Evian! Are there any indications that his contract will be renewed, or will he be gone, on a free? (IIRC, he is out-of-contract after this season.)

Well of he gets some Ligue 1 games maybe he should get a call up to Belgium...or does the Ligue 1 season start after that friendly?
