It's nice to watch players having fun on the field, working together and putting all their energy into the game.
Looks like the Dragons beat the Fuego tonight in Fresno 3-2 in extra time in the PDL playoffs. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
interesting that Fresno is talking about a SSS: http://www.uslpdl.com/news_article/show/671618?referrer_id=2242498
Actually, that makes a lot of sense. They get a fair number of fans, and with a handful of Mexican games each year could probably make somebody bank. Mexican games in Fresnohave a great atmosphere.
"NEWS: Earthquakes Renew Affiliation Agreement with Burlingame Dragons FC" (SJEarthquakes.com - Friday, 1/27/17) GO SAN JOSE EARTHQUAKES!!! -G
I live close enough to Burlingame that I should really be going to some matches out there. For anybody who has gone, how was it?
I'm considering it too. I haven't been to a Dragons game yet, but their website says they have $79 STH early bird pricing. 2016 STH price was $99. However, it also looks like since last season, they have had some significant attrition in FO, coaching, and stanford players. Interestingly, I just did some searching and figured out that the Burlingame Dragons and the Nachoria restaurant are owned by Nick Swinmurn, the founder of Zappos. I was trying to figure out if Nori Cavallero, my old friend from Redwood League, was associated with the Dragons, but apparently not. The last I saw her I think was 2006 and she was running a Burlingame team that was playing at Woodside HS against I think it was the San Jose Frogs. Anyone remember the name of that Burlingame team?
We had season tickets last year and went to about half the games. Great fan atmosphere, some real talent on the team, everyone playing with passion. Mostly day games, lots of families there, fun atmosphere. The players are also on college teams, so college-level is pretty accurate, but it's a high school stadium so doesn't really have a college feel.
I wasn't planning on season tickets as I wouldn't be able to make many games, I don't think, but at 79 bucks, the temptation is there just as a show of support for team and those players, anyway. Thanks for the run down. I figured it would be a more family oriented experience, which is good. I am interested in development, in general, so it would be nice to see players trying to make their way up and examine the way they are coached. I used to enjoy watching the Cal State Stanislaus team back when I lived in the area. They weren't particularly good, but it was still interesting to watch how they approached everything. My only real complaint there was the running down clock that they used to have. Not sure if that's still part of college soccer or not.

I heard about Joe last week and thought it was old news. You mean I could have scooped everyone?!? Great choice by the way!
The dragons are one of the highest drawing teams in PDL, and the draw more fans than many USL teams. 782989272215228416 is not a valid tweet id
