Difficult game, Colombia can be very good and threatening.
Argentina to win. Aguero and Messi/Di maria to score

Both teams have dissapointed so far in the copa.

Though in argentinas case, even dissapointing it had 70% possession on all games and most shots on goal of the tournament. Also still won their group. But is lacking in goals.

Colombia was almost out in group stage, and miraclously they are still in. They have been dissapointing and only managed to win one game. Though they seem to play better against the stronger opponents, so this might work to their benefit vs Arg

I wouldn't call it miraculously considering odds were that Brazil would win their game and that Colombia would beat Peru (or at least tie). If Ecuador had pulled off the spot than that would surely have been 'the miracle'. Also, keep in mind that 2 out of 3 of our teams are very high possession minded team (Brazil and Peru) vs your group of 3 opposition teams in whose tactics are more geared on the physical set play/defend and counter-attack futbol. That included a Jamaica team that was more interested in selfies than scoring.

Colombia lost 4 vital players that would have likely made this final Copa America roster of 23. Two of those are box to box MF Guarin and Aguilar. They support the link up play, defend and attack very well. Now with the loss of Carlos Sanchez(2 yellow cards) and E Valencia(injury vs Peru), it's up to Pekerman to reconstruct that midfield line vs Argentina. Both teams are accustomed to high possession play. Both teams have marquee players who I would love to see play at 1000% on Friday. 3 games to lift the trophy at this point. I see a 1-1 tie, with PK shoot out....Ospina to save the day! But it will need to be played almost error free by Colombia in order to keep Argentina away from the net.

What's likely the starting line-up for Arg?

I feel it will be a close game with individuality making the difference. If Colombia focuses too much on Messi like they did with Neymar than will open up space for DiMaria and Pastore to penetrate and create chances.

Messi hasn't scored in the knock-out phase of an international tournament since July 2007 (Copa America v Mexico).

Argentina fue mas, exageradamente mas... Mala suerte de Argentina, buena suerte de Colombia y un Ospina gigante...

Why did they go straight to a shootout instead of playing overtime?
