As Venezuelan, in Venezuela we use "ahorita" that means "not righ now, but not to late"... And P*to means mmm Gigolo, a man that offer sexual services to whoever another men, women or both... So here in Venezuela a P*to is a B*tch
it's that mysterious time that George Lopez calls ' right now'...not to be confused with 'right now right now' or 'later later'....somewhere in the middle
Chile can beat anyone in the world. The question of 'juggernaut' or whatever is about whether they have shown they can do it consistently, and that's a matter of perspective. I'd say there may be, at most, 2-3 teams that should scare an opponent more than Chile.
Listo. The dictionary definition of pv to is a pejorative term for one of two things: Homosexual y male prostitute (gigolo). It could also be used as an adj. to mean 'f*ing'/bloody xxx. But that's irrelevant here. In other contexts it can mean 'mujeriego' y 'miedoso'. Now when the mexicans yell this word at the opposing gk with the intent of insulting him, what definition do you think is the one they mean: f@g, gigolo, wominizer/man-whore, or 'miedoso'? Just food for thought.
Could be, but I doubt it. This whole chant started with the fans of Atlas of Guadalajara, when former gk (y creo que canterano) Oswaldo Sanchez signed for cross town rivals Chivas.. I guess in that sense it ment more like traitor? Either way, one of the 2 most common definitions is f@g, so they should know that that's how most of the spanish-speaking countries will understand that chant, and why some are upset about it. A different discussion is weather or not it should be allowed, or just brush it off as part of their futbol culture, or even if FIFA has the right to intervene.
There is no comparison between Mexico's 7-0 defeat and Brazil's 7-1 (to Germany), or Argentina's 5-0 (to Colombia) because those national teams have won World Cups, consistently produce top 10 players in the world, and are always WC perennial contenders. There is a believe, by some, that Mexico's FIFA world ranking are inflated due to victories over mediocre teams in CONCACAF.
FIFA rankings have Confederation weightings so beating a 50th ranked team from CONCACAF gives less points than beating a 50th ranked team from South America and Europe.
Why looking so back in time ? Peru got their butts spanked 6 - 0, pretty recently at WC qualifiers. Their slayers were Uruguay in 2008. In that same WC qualifier process, 7 months earlier, Ecuador did something similar to them, beating them, 5 - 1
Yes, but when they play 2 Continental tournaments (only against teams of their own Confed), those results get multiplied by the factor used for continental tournaments, which is 2.5 times. So even if they may be less points proportional for that game, it's still a great load of points, which inflates their ranking. Same happens for all the few top "puppies" in Concacaf, btw. Mexico particularly, also manages to get more points by playing regularly at CA.
Yes, but FIFA rankings are based on averages. So beating the same rubbish team 3 times works out the same as beating them once. This website discusses rankings: http://www.football-rankings.info/ FIFA rankings are still flawed when a team like Nigeria is ranked 61st and Hungary and Bosnia are in the top 20.
