Qatar won the 2014 edition of the AFC Under 19 Championship. It is the first time that Qatar wins this competition. In the final match they beat North Korea 1-0; the other two semifinalists were Uzbekistan and Myanmar (that was also the host country). The positions in the FIFA ranking of the main national teams of these countries are: 65 Uzbekistan 88 Qatar 137 Myanmar 148 North Korea The two top Asia teams (at least as for the main national teams) are Iran (51°) and Japan (52°). Iran didn't go through the first round, while Japan was eliminated by North Korea in the quarter-finals (5-4 after penalty shoot-out).
