Yeah I see nobody cared like you had to search for a comment from 2015 thats not a fanboy makin excuses but a general remark lol. Germany women won in Rio and still no one gives a shit. If they had failed big time I wouldnt have pulled a Chicago to say a no one cares about this anyways. To me, it feels good to qualify for WC and at the same time for an olympic semi of a sport you're pretty shit in. Like contrary to you guys not qualifying for the WC in Russia and not qualifying for the semi of a sport you're lets say "not that bad" in. Which one would you prefer?
@Chicago76 Thank you for your smack talk 5 ... 4 ... 3 ... 2 ... 1 ... FINALE!!!-----------------------------------https://t.co/T7baqI4sGg pic.twitter.com/nDO5OvvZRS— Eurosport DE (@Eurosport_DE) February 23, 2018
Why? Even if they lose, they'll get the gold after the Russians finish peeing in their cups at their drug test.

Be nice, don’t gloat, give hugs, buy rounds of hot chocolate.Just imagine how you would feel if Canada beat us in soccer 😱🇩🇪 ❤️ 🇨🇦#CANGER @TeamD @CanadaFP @GermanyInCanada @KanadaBotschaft pic.twitter.com/0HlHoxMA7E— GermanForeignOffice (@GermanyDiplo) February 23, 2018

Get used to that. It doesn't get any easier for a couple of decades at least. Once major league baseball managers started being younger than me ... that took me off my game for a bit.
Throwback to 1976 Innsbruck when West Germany sensationally had a shot in the last game for winning olympic bronze. Before the tourney they were laughed at by the home media and dubbed as "nobodies" and "whipping boys". German players thought they had to win by 4 goals against the USA which was an impossible task. They managed to win 4-1 despite great chances of making it 5-1 or even 6-1. They sat in the dressing room for 40 minutes in anger and sad silence before someone came in tell them they were wrong and they actually had won the bronze medal. (at about 40:30 mins)
When you went to watch Philip Rivers play ball when he was a high schooler, and he's a couple of years at best from retiring from the NFL... when you have to explain to some college kids that OJ ran for 2000 yards in 14 games and they assume he was saving himself for the playoffs... When you hear HS students talking about that game developing wizard John Madden... I'm most fearful of the day when more people remember George Weah as Liberia's president than remember his brief time as one of the best footballers on Earth...
When Curtis Granderson retires from baseball, which is likely to be pretty soon, that will be the second generation of guys I taught in college who went on to MLB careers of a decade or more. Man, I felt old when Albert Belle hung it up. And Granderson was in my intro to literature class that year.
Mark Roberts (gulp) of Liverpool, complete with monkey sock, reminds us that the grand finale of ice skating is on tonight.
She's not only mean- her expressions just kill me. It's like Spock and Ice Cube had a baby or something
