Half-pipe snowboarding shouldn't be an Olympic sport anyway, as it's a judged "competition". See also: Skating, Figure, and Nastics, Gym... DH longboarding 100% should be a Summer Games sport, but not bowl/ramp riding, for the same reasons. The "City Park" style needs to be discouraged. Buncha knobs who can't skate vert wanting to show off by destroying public property.

There was a guy from Uruguay posturing in WR about how he likes the Winter Olys better, like he actually knows how to ski. My guess is, the natives don't even get to work the lift at the resorts in his country.

Cerro Catedral is Uruguay's highest peak. This 513 meter [1680'] hill is used as a cow pasture. It snows here maybe every 20 or 30 yrs or so. Fortunately, piles of fresh cow droppings make for a smooth, well-lubricated continuation of this small slope. Skiing the Planet: Uruguay

In his era? Probably not. That said, I'm not impressed by the acrobatics of the Hawk and after skaters. And even less by their 7" nosekicks.
