CPs strength is on the break and there are few breaks against bunkering teams. Did Dortmund have 80% possession today and only six shots? When 9 red shirts sit in their own box don't try to break them down. Shoot incessantly from the perimeter. CP and four teammates sat in the box with 9 defenders all game long. Rarely works and you a vulnerable on the counter.

Have to work the ball around and stretch the defense wide then circulate the ball thru the middle when the defense starts backing up. Essentially that is what you see when Dortmund scores. You see the red shirts backed up so two guys are covering one man in the box and leaving the top of the box open for Tojan to take a shot from closer range unmarked. The current manager is working on this but it leaves open to question how Pulisic fits in if he doesn't develop the right technique.

Makes sense. Hopefully they figure it out. They see this kind of game a lot.
