All the clips I see of this league make me think that nobody knows how to mark a player. There seems to always be two or three guys unmarked in the box on every play. Maybe it's because I only see the goal clips and they are by their very nature bad defensive plays. But still...
I get where you're coming from but truth be told, the US defending the other night was clearly the exception to the rule. Perhaps it is the same way for the Dutch league, but everything I've seen indicates there is a ton of sloppy defending.
Of the course the US defending was not good Wed. We started Gibbs and he's only a bench warmer at ADO...
that first goal looks offsides to me. the guy right in front of the goalie is interfering with play and offsides
Great assist by DMB on the 0-3 by Kone. The video's are up b.t.w. : http://www.goalzzz.com/2005-2006/wil-psv.html
So where are the "Beasley sucks he's a benchwarmer at PSV OMG he's not going to be ready for the World CUp" People now?
Coming from soneone who's watched the Eredivisie my whole life, defense isn't their strongest suit. . .
Despite the Berhalter-esque marking DMB fails to score the fourth for PSV in the final minutes... Definitely the star of the "halftime show" ...
This shot is very reminiscent of the one against Heerenveen. He's letting the ball go across his body and out of the frame of the goal. He's giving the keeper the angle.
