me an some other Dutchies at an other football forum are making our bets on potential relegation candidates I said ADO Den Haag and an other said RKC and an other Cambuur. I really do hope the other relegation candidates put up more of a fight because this is really pathetic and painful to watch.
Only watched the extended highlights, but was quite encouraged by the many times the Dutch young guns got the camera time. Wijnaldum looked really solid making forwards runs to the box. I have a feeling he and Siem De Jong will battle all season long for a spot for Oranje WC'14 as the wild card... both are versatile players who bring goal-scoring capability from midfield. Depay had one highlight when he showed extraordinary strength and determination to win the ball. Always loved this kind of play from a youngster! The last goal by ADO, what was Bruma thinking.. ugh.
Only seen extended highlights so far as the game won't air tape delayed on ESPN Deportes till late Monday night if I am not mistaken. Good first half, average 2nd half and they will have to be able to be better against physical opponents which has been an issue in the past. It definitely will be fun to see all the very young players getting a chance. Will have to be patient.
Poor Excuse for a team.. you only one by one goal, not to mention the fact that you relied on bad de, ADO outplayed PSV for a good portion of this game if it wasnt for the joke of center backs ADO has they would have won.
Winning away from home in the first league match with a squad that averages out at maybe 22,23 if lucky isn't a bad thing. I won't say that the club doesn't need to keep working on improving it's defense and it's play vs clubs that prefer the physical side but it is all going to be a learning curve having chose to stick it out with the very young squad.

Tough draw for CL qualification, Milan home & away. With the way things are going for Dutch teams so far this year in Europe I expect a total collapse. I think this would leave only Ajax, Feyenoord and AZ still alive in Europe.
The problem for PSV is the right back position. Not sold on the defensive solidity of either Brenet or Arias.
what can milan expect from PSV over the next couple of weeks? i haven't followed much dutch soccer other than altidore highlights at AZ.
Psv is a bit of a dangerous team to play against around this time. Eredivisie already started and PSV look fresh. This is one of the youngest PSV sides ever, though Park will come to reinforce the squad. Milan is also younger then they used to be, but older than the PSV kids. The PSV team play fresh, attacking and adventurous football at the moment, but that was against inferior opposition to Milan. Milan is quite simply an new plateau where we have to see if the described characteristics will manifest in the same way. PSV is a completely different team (almost every position is occupied by new personnel) from last season where they beat Napoli B home and away. So that game is pretty much irrelevant for different reasons. This PSV beholds a lot of promising talent that might make their way to the top of Europe one day. That is also why they show pretty good football and why they might be a bit dangerous. They want to show the world what they can do and that they belong to the future elite. Milan is a great team to play against then. One scenario in the front of everybody's head after 180 minutes of play is that we will say PSV showed nice football, but that Milan in the end advanced on maturity and the ability to close the deal. PSV wasted an awful lot of chances against Zulte and they are shaky at the back positions in the defensive line. I am most worried for the right back position of PSV. If Milan exploits that area and pressures it, then things might turn ugly. Or not pressure it and just use it as a prime channel to launch counters through. Could result either way in a lot of damage, certainly in case of Brenet given the nod. Curious how PSV plays against a team like Milan.
I love PSV, ********ing great club to watch live and great fans. I watched them for a whole season while I was living in Tilburg. I don't know how they'll cope with their missing players but all indications are saying they're compact and ready to go. PSV have a chance against us and I don't say that lightly.
