    Where: Emirates Stadium
When: Monday, October 22nd, 3:00pm EST
    TV: NBCSN I think

Interlul number two is just about over thank god. So far, I see that Sokratis picked up a knock for Greece. Nothing else except that I guess Ramsey missed wales duty for “personal reasons” which I assume has to do with his new/pending child. I think he will be available.

LCFC is a tricky tie. At home you have to fancy us, but I’m a little scared of Vardy getting behind our ragged back line. With no Sokratis that’s likely means holding and mustafi at CB. While they were decent against Fulham, LCFC is a different kettle of fish and that’s no recovery pace.

I also wonder about the formation. I’d like to see that 4-4-2 again but with auba.

    What i’d fancy:

    ———auba—-laca———
    Iwobi—xhaka—torr—-miki

    What I expect:

    ———laca
    Auba—Ramsey—ozil
    ——xhaka—torr

It’s been a good run, long may it continue...

Sorry to hear about Sokratis injury. What kind of "knock" was it? The main one he had last month was knee-related, then more recently he what we were told was a dead-leg. I'm curious if there's any connection between all of these or if they're just coincidental/sequential?

I'm not too worried about Leicester or Vardy. Hopefully not famous last words.

One thing for everyone to take note of is that this game is on MONDAY, as is our Liverpool match 2 weeks later. The only good thing I see about that is that we might get to relive our glory-days of having Martin Tyler do the call.

Edit: Wrong about Liverpool! That's an early KO Saturday. :)

Be interested to see our lineup

They play quite solidly either 442 or a 4231

First match at the Grove? First time seeing Arsenal live? Awesome!!!! Glad you made it work somehow.

Since we're on Monday night, if you're in London the weekend before, I'd strongly suggest trying to take in another game somewhere. A "smaller club"... doesn't have to be EPL. Could be 2nd or 3rd tier... the atmosphere at those grounds can be even better.

Unfortunately Fulham & QPR are away this weekend (those are 2 great little stadia). But Charlton-Barnsley & Luton-Walsall are on Saturday. Or Reading-Millwall could be fun (but it's an hour outside London).

And even if you don't take in another match, have a blast! Oh, try a Arsenal Stadium tour too... maybe a legends tour, if you can swing it.

Ill be in London in November for the 17th and 18th but my dates don't match up with match days, which are the best pubs to go see the matches at? Slightly OT so my bad.

    Also we will smash Leicester.

    Auba 1, Laca 1, Owen 1.

All of the above. I'll be here for a few more years yet so hopefully not the last. Plan is to go to all the London away games in 2019, but £ are a real thing.

Aha. Sorry I thought you were making the trip over the pond for the match.

    So you're living/studying in London/England?

Away games could be the way to go... much louder, more concentrated singing/passion from our traveling crew compared to our home "supporters". And with any luck we'll continue to win away, so there's that too!

But sitting in the allotted block for away fans is not the easiest thing to do, without a connection or two. In one case I had to buy tickets through Palace's website, after signing up for an "International Eagles Membership".

Good luck, and keep us posted! (I'm super envious of anyone who gets to live in London like I used to do eons ago)

My daughter will be in London for the Pool game. She doesn’t have the $$$ to even attempt a ticket and probably impossible anyways so what pub/pubs/neighborhood should I tell her to visit on match day to capture the glorious atmosphere of the worlds greatest club on a huge match day? (I need to live vicariously through her- for now).

So, only one Sunday game after an international break. Seriously, who is scheduling this stuff.

TV folks. Yeah, I'm there with you on that, though, it seems just plain silly. I think it hurt the quality of play, too. Fortunately Arsenal wasn't part of that.

To today I'm counting on a better team showing today after Emery's comments the past couple weeks. No delusion that they'll look like world beaters but hopefully a more coordinated transition game and fewer silly mistakes. Hate having the compromised central defense, though.

Leaning toward a 3-1 win for the home side as I think the attacking players are feeling the groove and enjoying the chance to light up the scoreboard again.

Lichsteiner in at LB. Nacho picked up a hammie apparently. :(

Good to see Mkhi and Iwobi come in too. Flanking Ozil. Crossing fingers!

P.s. Who the hell is "Medley" on our bench?! Defensive cover??

Will be interesting to see how that lineup works in attack. In theory Ozil and Mkhitarian should provide plenty of support for Lacca, drawing defenders outside and offering nice crosses into the box.

    In theory.

Fair enough. I watch Ozil drift outside so frequently I've come to view him in his classic German NT role when playing for Arsenal.

Handball by Holding. Next year VAR will award that a PK. We (and Holding) dodge a bullet.
