Rumour has it that Frank Lampard is going to take charge of City U18's next season. Would be an interesting appointment if true.

Chelsea beat Man U today, 3-0, in the u18 Premier League National Final. Both had strong sides out with "big guns" Hudson and James playing for Chelsea and Gomes, Greenwood and Chung (Man U's Young Player of the Year) for Man U. It was a good lively competitive game, particularly in the first half before Chelsea took a commanding lead. .
United squad of ICGT in Holland includes Greenwood but no Gomes. United squad: Alex Fojticek, Matej Kovar; Max Dunne, Luca Ercolani, Lee O'Connor, George Tanner, Ro-Shaun Williams; Callum Gribbin, Ethan Hamilton, Tom Sang, Callum Whelan; Millen Baars, Indy Boonen, Nishan Burkart, Tahith Chong, Zak Dearnley, Mason Greenwood.

Fulham have 12, they put up a gallery with 12 signing photos, but took it down. Not been able to identify the 12th yet. Haven't seen them publish a full list. Been working on these lists with KBarrett2316 for a while now, they'll all also be on youthhawk in due course as well, plus all the Cat 2 teams.

Was having a conversation with another user on the forum the other day about squad sizes in academy age groups. Some clubs have way too many and I was thinking that there should be perhaps a cap on the amount of players (particular in "singular" groups, such as U15s, U16s etc). Obviously more than eleven players are needed considering injuries/playing ups but clubs having around 25 players is just bizarre. I've compiled a list of all the Cat. 1 academies that have confirmed this season's scholars and made a list of how many players (inc. goalkeepers) they have on scholarship contracts: ARSENAL: 24 (four goalkeepers, including Okonkwo) BLACKBURN ROVERS: 16 (two goalkeepers, two second years were released at the end of last season) BRIGHTON & HOVE ALBION: 21 (three goalkeepers) CHELSEA: 23 (four goalkeepers, excluding Hudson-Odoi) EVERTON: 25 (three goalkeepers) MAN UTD: 23 (three goalkeepers) NORWICH CITY: 22 (one goalkeeper) NEWCASTLE UNITED: 14 (two goalkeepers) READING: 27 (five! goalkeepers) SOUTHAMPTON: 27 (one goalkeeper) STOKE CITY: 18 (one goalkeeper) TOTTENHAM HOTSPUR: 26 (two goalkeepers) WEST BROMWICH ALBION: 28 (two goalkeepers) WEST HAM UNITED: 24 (one goalkeeper) As you can see, a mixture of normal amounts but some clubs (Reading, Saints, WBA) have too many. Reading having five goalkeepers is just bizarre, and even at a stretch four is quite a lot, especially if none play up with the 23s and there are 16s that they'll be keeping on next season perhaps. There's obviously a limit of 16 players per scholarship intake, but I was wondering do you all think there should be a limit across the age groups?
City's intake not released because of the controversies around players like Moulden & Devine in the intake ? Remember this article : https://www.telegraph.co.uk/footbal...premier-league-investigation-signing-11-year/ Not sure how true it is but once Devine finished his GCSE's Man City had to release him. Surely not ?
They'll just sign him pro when he turns 17 in December and any games he features in before then will be as a trialist. They did it with Dele-Bashiru a coupla years ago when he wouldn't sign a scholar.
He isn't, City already did a feature with him as part of their introduction to their new scholars. https://www.mancity.com/news/academ...uly/get-to-know-q-and-a-feature-louie-moulden
