I'm experiencing some issues such as when I click on watch thread nothing happens. Anyone else having issues?
I'm having problems. When I click on a username to view his or her post count or click on the icon to bring up the menu to go to another forum, I get rectangular bars like the website is trying to do what I want, but nothing happens.
When I quote a post, it doesn't go to the quick reply as usual but opens up a new reply page instead. The alerts pulldown isn't working. And the site is generally glitchy. Noticed a bunch of duplicate posts on the politics/elections board. So, yeah, things ain't right.
And I haven't been able to rep quite a few rep-worthy posts. I'm using windows, surfing via Explorer I have been able to get my alerts, though.
Seemingly almost everything is not working. Anything involving a pop-up doesn't work, from the alert list to the left-side menu of fora. Many links just spin, never coming up. Quoting a post to reply either opens on a new page, or does nothing at all. Lots of double- or triple-posts. It's nearly unusable right now.
I think edit will work if you open the link in a new tab/window. I'll test it here. -- edit -- Yup. Hitting the link normally doesn't work, but you can still edit if you open the edit link in a new tab/window. So until this is all fixed, that's your work-around to edit posts.
Looks like "Watch Thread" doesn't work too, so I am sorry to post this useless message to watch the thread...
At least we know the glitch is something basic in the site's functionality, since it's affecting pretty much everything.
When editing a post on my mobile, a screen comes up asking if you want to edit, delete or report. The screen is impossible to shift or close down and covers the pages whilst you try to edit, which is highly annoying.
The site slows down, gets annoying and at times makes it difficult to type a reply as it continues to sync. It looks like it is reloading. On the bottom corner of my screen I get Waiting for sync.rhythmexchange.com Waiting for search.spotexchange Waiting for cache and other messages. Can we control the spies so that we can better enjoy the forum?
The site seems to be using a massive amount of memory for me, at one point this morning Chrome was using almost 3GB for a single tab of this site. On my laptop I don't even have that much memory to use and site just eventually bogs down and becomes unusable. I don't seem to have this issue on my phone, although sometimes using the site on the phone it re-directs to fake contest winner sites without me clicking on anything. In just the short period of time I spent to write this message browser memory usage went up from 100mb to about 2 GB and continues to climb.
