Okay, folks, this is a big-boy prediction thread. None of this easy-as-pie 'who's going to win the league' stuff. Try and predict the final Premership table, top to bottom, before a ball is kicked. If you dare. ;)

    Here's my call:

    1. Manchester United (with or without Tevez)
    2. Liverpool
    3. Chelsea
    4. Tottenham
    5. Arsenal
    6. Everton
    7. Newcastle
    8. Portsmouth
    9. Bolton
    10. Blackburn Rovers
    11. Aston Villa
    12. West Ham (with Tevez, without Tevez they'll finish 16th)
    13. Reading
    14. Fulham
    15. Manchester City
    16. Middlesbrough
    17. Birmingham
    18. Sunderland
    19. Wigan Athletic
    20. Derby County

Man City gets relegated? You have to be kidding.

I don't mean to imply any nonsense like we are going to take the treble or will play European matches next year, but we most certainly will not be any where near relegation.

So says a consummate Chelsea supporter. So you think the probability of City being relegated is higher than the the probability of Liverpool taking the table?

Yes! How could you not? 'Pool is not where Chelsea or United are in depth or first 11 quality (although they've gotten closer this year). I cant say who will take the prem between the two, but I am sure that it will be one of them.

Your squad were flirting with relegation last season, and people were predicting it at one point. With the changes going on at your club, I think the chances of relegation have been dimmed, but time will tell. Hopefully you stay up.

I cannot. Question Answered. Torres will be a force, Babel was a steal, Benayoun will provide some real creativity to the Reds (not to mention intelligent decision-making), and Fabregas will finally come into his own with Torres there (if he stays). The back line is already strong, and Rafa is not even finished. The final table will resemble 05-06 (with the exception that City and Bolton will likely trade places), more than 06-07.

A lot of people disagree with me, but I think Lampard is on his way down (slowing in age, the old geezer), which will be a huge lose to your side. I have to say, though, Malouda was a good signing. And as much as it pains me to say this (and it does, trust me) I agree with your assessment of the Rags, though.

And you have made my point for me about my squad. SGE has improved us immensely and while we were flirting with relegation last season it was not as forgone as you make it out to have been. City is going to be powerful this year and will make a good run, though not for Europe just yet.

    Fabregas? Err...Mascherano?

    Minor mistake maybe.

Anyway, yes Malouda was a good signing. Lampard is getting slower no doubt about that, even I as a Lampard fan can see and concede that. But he is still an anchor in the Center. He is still strong. He still has vision. 21 in the net last season is great. If he scores 15 this season I would still be happy.

I dont mean to sound like I am putting your club down, but Rolando Bianchi is a bit unproven for me. I think the best move City made so far was getting rid of Barton!:D Seriously though...he is a headcase.

More players will probably be coming in for you soon though. Oh and Petrov was a good buy too.
