Premier League Promotion Playoff: Reading vs. Huddersfield (Danny Williams Starting)

One of my favorites matches in world football - love the playoff final.

 

Game has more Ismthian League than Premier League in it so far.

 

Announcers waxing about Dwill's importance to the team. Basically explaining what a good Dmid he is.

really interesting match. Wagner has Hudd playing behind the ball and Reading is pressing with 3 forwards.

That means Williams is the entire key to transition defense.

 

It should be noted Hudd has had 3 or 4 very good chances. so far, Wagner has his tactics correct. He needs a goal though.

 

Dwill getting plenty of praise for his play as Dmid. You would never know the US had such a good dmid to choose.

 

Dwill is completely controlling the defensive midfield. He IS the midfield for Reading right now, too bad there is no where to go forward for him.

 

What a sloppy match. Hopefully the 2nd half is better.

 

Um... mods can we re-title this Danny Williams starting + David Wagner managing! And if Huddersfield win this, he will become the first US manager to achieve promotion to the premiership, and Huddersfield's first trip there since 1972. Although, I'd love to see Danny in the premiership, I'm actually cheering for the Terriers here.

And btw, why does the Reading manager keep Jaap-ing away?

I have always liked Danny Williams. He is good at what he does. PLUS he has a hell of a shot. Hope he uses it today and joins the USA team again..

 

honestly, I can't , and haven't been able to see any outcome other than a penalty shootout in this match. Honestly, I can't see anyone scoring...

I turned it on at 60' and I was still sick of this by the end of 90'. Really dire match.
