This was the perfect amount of awkward and hilarity. Kostas isn't phased at all, and Kluivert can't believe his owner is like that.

James just straight-up says Manolas was a "cocky young shit"... lol, amazing.. what an owner :ROFLMAO:. I don't care what anyone says, I like Pallotta.

"You know I'm not gunna ever sell you to Barcelona" ... Kluivert:

Manolas is a straight-up g as well; doesn't give a fcuk. Love that dude.. but, please, do not give him the captaincy...ever.

What a video.. this was great. thanks for the share, dude!

Me too, this will most likely be our starting midfield come week 1

They beat us with a simple ball over the top twice, Marcano each time. We’ve barely bothered them while they pass it around nicely. Nobody looks terrible - except Marcano - just Madrid being quality.

    Minute 20. 2-0 Madrid

‘22, Pastore Perotti Kola Marcano successfully play out the back with Real pressing hard.

‘27, De Rossi Florenzi the best on the field imo.

Olsen and Marcano are poor, the rest are looking good, especially Florenzi.

I can’t help but wonder if Alisson would be saving any of these goals.

    Perotti and Cristante are invisible.

    Florenzi has been mostly poor.

Pastore isn't giving us what we need.

Marcano is a victim of EDF playing a high press and him being paired with equally slow footed Fazio.

I'm gonna go ahead and blame Dzeko and DDR for the 2-0 deficit.

The first goal he sure could've made himself more useful. Allison reads that and makes a play on Bale's through ball. I have little doubt. I've been unimpressed.

Yea, Marcano was not good. On that first goal Marcano was 2-3 behind the other defenders and kept it onside.

Still, preseason so not too worried.

Marcano maybe doesnt have the reading of the game against the best but as a backup during the league games he should get away with an odd mishap. Hopefully that can be ironed out as he continues to adapt to the club though.

    Caught the last 10 minutes.

Kids look pretty good , which is what I wanted to see. Mirante's distribution is a little head-scratching.

Marcano showed he has yet to get used to the defensive movements and overall chemistry with the back line. It doesn`t help that he had to go 1vs1 against players who are way faster than him. But I consider both goals more a result of the lack of defensive pressure to block those long passes.

Olsen seemed hesitant to go for some balls and to distribute play other than short passes. Mirante showed confidence on this aspect, but was not really challenged otherwise.

Front 3 had a really poor night. Specially Perotti and SES. Dzeko trying but still not dangerous.

Pastore made an effort defensively, but we need more from him going forward.

    Cristante had a tough time.

De Rossi moved the strings of our play and stole balls near RM goal.

Florenzi a work horse, always pushing forward but imprecise.

Kolarov great on attack but lacking on defense.

Gonalons great at times, and really poor at others. You could see him getting the ball back from RM, but also doing that infamous laser-eye defending from the Xhaka video posted a few days ago in this forum. A couple of good passes, and some ball gifting too.

Schick out of position is indeed not an option for our RW. As a 9 he made a good ball redirectioning to set the goal for Strootman, but wasted a clear opportunity as well.

Karsdorp and Santon good overall, except for that man marking on the side-throw near our goal which led to a dangerous attack.

Pellegrini showed some spirit too, but I feel he made a lot of mistakes going forward. Good pass to Schick though.

    Manolas and JJ ok.

Coric out of position but still showed a few good touches on the ball. I am still wanting to see him as our creative midfielder.

Kluivert great spirit too. I expected him to try to go past defenders more often. He missed a good opportunity at the end with an imprecise cross.

Just watched the highlights. Looks like we were slaughtered out there for the most part. I just hope EdF remembers that playing defensively when we come against the very good sides, in games that actually matter, is also an option.

    Positives:
1-Florenzi looked back at his best.
2-Karsdrop and Coric look really good, potential gems.
    3-DDR+Kolarov+Dzeko haven't lost a step.
4-The team is capable of playing fast and direct football, quite a difference from last summer.

Still preseason but I have to say for the most part (especially in the first half) our MF looked terrible. There was no off the ball movement, no cohesiveness.

RM were passing around our MF like they were cones then once they had sucked the wide players into MF they'd play that long diagonal ball. When we had the ball they were picking off our passes in the MF consistently.

Coric has really impressed me, he has a real head for the game. Originally I thought he should go out on loan but he appears to be ready to contribute.
