First news of the preseason is Busan I'Park who will be playing a friendly (FIFA organized lol) vs Bangladesh Premier League champions Sheikh Jamal Dhanmondi Club at Bangabandhu National Stadium. Chong Mong-gyu will be coming to watch as well lol Busan I’Park contingent: Players - Ku Hyun Jun, Lee Kyungryul, Yoon Dongmin, Park Youngji, Jung Seok Hwa, Yu Jino, Lee Changgeun, Jeon Sungchan, Kim Chanyoung, Ju Se Jong, Kwon Jinyoung, Kim Jimin, Kim Ki Yong, Lee Cheongwoong, Lee Gyusung, Kim Jingyu, Seo Hongmin and Lee Jooyong; Officials - Yoon Sung Hyo, Kim Won Dong, Lee Jin Hang, Park Haeill and Park Sehwoon. http://unb.com.bd/sports-football-57
Sheikh Jamal are also effectively the Bangladesh National team aswell. They've had a good year winning the Bhutan Kings Cup and runners up in India's IFA Shield.
Busan won 2-0 in the friendly. The goals were scored by Kim Jin-kyu & Yoon Dong-min. Assist by Kim Jin-kyu. Busan I'Park goalkeeper Lee Chang Gyun kept his side from conceding with a few saves like this one during their international friendly against Sheikh Jamal Dhanmondi Club at the Bangabandhu National Stadium yesterday. PHOTO: STAR http://www.thedailystar.net/sk-jamal-go-down-fighting-57400 Kim Jin-kyu is only 17 years old which makes it so exciting about his debut next year. With Lim Sang-hyub gone, he could get decent playing time.
who cares its Bangladesh, the only reason why i would go there is to try to create a fan base like european clubs. or just train cause its freezing cold in korea.
Another victory for the young Busan side as they beat Vietnam's Than Quang Ninh 1-0 through new face Lee Gyu-sung. Good to hear Kim Jin-kyu continuing to impress. http://sports.news.naver.com/sports...&mod=read&office_id=139&article_id=0002030659
Ulsan's pre-season is underway, They say Kim Shin-wook is 80-90% fit & will join with the squad soon. Will take part in Thailand training camp & go into full mode when they go to Japan training camp.
Man, even after 13 years and Lee Min-Sung's face still hasn't changed a bit. It's good to see an old familiar face back into the game as a coach.
I think I said something like this in the BSK intro thread, but I'm so excited (and a little nervous) about E-land FC's first season and their project. I watched "풋메골"'s interview of Martin Rennie, and his interesting background really seems to be promising for Korean professional soccer (marketing issues, etc). Hope his gig at Seoul is successful, and I have a feeling that if things go right, his vision (as well as the club president's) have the ability to change professional sports in Korea.
Do we have any news about Seoul E-land Fc? and what in the hell is FC Seoul doing for their roster. smh
I remember when I watched this. Look at that guy's face when Lee Weasel starts talking smack about Senol Gunes and FC Seoul lol. He wants to end the damn interview as quickly as possible. Also kudos to the Weasel for saying "까" for his freekick. haha. "감독도 잘 패고"
I'm reading that the official changes for 2015 were made yesterday, and 1. The draft system has been abolished and players will be signed as free agents and 2. Two u23 players must be included in the matchday squad and one must start He'll yeah
well at least that solves the draft problem. Now they should try to increase attendance or something.
agreed. While I'm no armchair expert in sports management, I think imposing mandatory matchday/squad rules will be too problematic for K-league teams/managers. Even if it solves a problem, it might create new problems. But I think abolishing the draft system wouldn't hurt in the long term. Hopefully Korean domestic football adjust to the abolishment of the draft. I don't want U-league or high school programs to collapse.
