Jeez, you go away a few days and the entire board turns into a ghost town...

IT'S TIME TO TAKE OUT THE TRASH!

Red Bull New York vs. Chicago Flame Retard(ant)s

Ah, who can forget Guevara's beautiful stoppage time goal that snatched a win from Chicago last season during the second-half of the doubleheader with England/Colombia. Good times can be ours again with the Flamers on a morale-crippling long, long, long road trip while waiting for Bridgeview to open.

Apparently, our old friend John Guppy has been just as effective in marketing for Chicago as he was for us when last week he stupidly released the name of Chicago's new soccer specific stadium before the home opening press conference. Well, what do you expect from the man who won executive-of-the-year for handling the incredibly successful and long-lived Tampa Bay Mutiny.

Of course, we will also have the Meola/Thornton showdown. Meola is ready to show Thornton that just as before, he is still the master and Thornton is still the scrub. Meola has gotten into shape lifting weights in the off-season while Thornton apparently underwent a vigorous off-season regimen of lifting cheeseburgers to his mouth.

Will Peguero step up and give RBNY the attack they've desperately needed?

Will Guevara and Djorkaeff set aside their differences and become the playmakers we watched last year?

Will our defense prevent Meola from being peppered by shots?

For once, will C.J. Brown manage to avoid using expletives on regional television during his halftime interview or will he continue to behave with the press like a sailor with Tourette's syndrome on meth amphetamines?

Tomorrow, all these questions will be answered on the pitch at Giants Stadium!

This time there will be three points. Chicago is a banged up side that lost their goon. 3-0 RBNY! Peguero will score this night.

We are missing 2 starters, and 1 we have 1 guy suspended. That's "banged up"?

Amado's going down in a broken leg heap.

Ask any player in the Chicago Symphony, he or she will tell you that is called Perfect Pitch. Congratulations. It doesn't get any better than that -- until Harrison opens for business. :p

Injury report: Buddle out, Magee out, Graham out

That doesn't bode well, but anyway.

I believe this was done intentionally. They're trying to cut corners on costs, since they're not expecting to score much this year.

You'll never be a Rockette, Thaigo.

Jaqua again tries to beat the defense with his aerial bombing.

Failure in Mapp's "wax on, wax off" technique allows Garcia to score a direct hit. Probably should have gone for "paint the fence" there...

I dont see it as bad as people say.

We got Magee we have Peguero or whatever and pretty much the same midfeild and probably a first time look at Joley I bet.

3-1 to us we don't have a bad line up with a few players missing

I am here at work, following online. I won't pay for the MLS video feed. Not yet, anyway.
So I am counting on you folks to keep the commentary going.
By the way, Conway is in goal? Meola on the bench? Hmmmm.

OK Good 1-0 at the half. Maybe just maybe we can do it tonight.
Good showing by sub GK Conway.
What else? Tell me, please, how are we doing?

Looking solid, so far. I'm watching on DK. Lisi had a terrible challenge from behind that resulted in a stoppage time free kick for Chicago. That was sloppy form. RBNY needs another goal and some solid defense for the second half to shut the naysayers up.

You fans in the NY/NJ area should be at Giants stadium supporting them over this stretch of home matches.

Thanks for the info Georgia man.
I wish I could be at the stadium tonight to support the Red Bulls.
But I have to work tonight.
Don't think I wish it could be otherwise. with my schedule I can only
    make Wednesday games.
