Nothing like a Tuesday night in Chester. I predict at least one "Huh?" or "Who?" while reading the starting line-up ..... and a 2-0 United win. Will they use their most expensive GK in his role of backup for this USOC game? Is Martin healthy yet?
I hear it's supposed to be warm in beautiful, downtown Chester on Wednesday. Ice cream might be nice:
Philly has had nearly the same rough ride of mid-week USOC and MLS games since mid June. But we have a really strong B-Squad with undoubtedly Opare (a regular starter) and Halsti stepping in. We should handle this game rather well. With two days in between games, Silva was subbed out at 58 minutes and Rolfe at 62 minutes. I'd say Silva starts and see what he can do. If we're winning comfortably, then he comes off the earliest he can. Rolfe could play, but we would want him full-game at Seattle on Friday night.
The game will be streamed on YouTube. Going to stream it on my phone while also watching the USWNT game.
Dykstra Robinson Opare Halsti Mishu Doyle Jeffrey Coria Aguilar Arrieta Silva I'd prefer Birnbaum over Jeffrey, and Halsti in mid, but I think this is what we'll see
I really hope we give an honest effort, but my guess is this is not a priority and being at Philadelphia not crazy about our chances.
Good for Wednesday. Game's on Tuesday. What's the ticket situation for those who might want to travel? Thx, Jay!
This is less than an hour from where I work, and mighty tempting to go to... not a good week for it, though.
16 million views. I don't generally approve of rounding up people and forcing them into labor camps but if it came to that I think they should start with these 16 million people. In case you couldn't make it past the 1st minute of that, the DOOP starts at 1:07
That's not a bad team. It could compete with some real MLS teams and Philly. Especially given who we could bring off the bench (assuming we bring a full bench)
Did anyone catch that Philly beat writer going nuts on Twitter yesterday after hearing the Curtin interview on Soccer Morning?
I didn't even know Curtin was on Soccer Morning (or really that there was a Soccer Morning, though it seems vaguely familiar)
I did see a tweet about Sack-o-shit saying he didn't pay any attention to fans or their beefs with his front office "because the team needs support" - which seems like it's counter-intuitive until you remember what a tone-deaf jack-ass and waste of human plasma he is.
