Let's assume there's no way we make the playoffs, so stop running out 35 year-old Marcelo to "anchor" the midfield. Harkes is healthy, get him back in the lineup. Or play Korb and Odoi-Atsem at fullback and put Nicky in the middle with Canouse and Acosta. (Just don't expect Nicky to put a shot on goal - that's not what he does.) If Miranda can go, play him up front. Let's play with our likely 2018 lineup.

Prior to the season, Chicago was just an average team much like DC United. Then they got Schweinsteiger, and have been playing at a very high level since he came. I was skeptical at first and for a while, esp since he plays only a "Holding Midfielder", but he does provide calmness and passes up field and leadership.

DC United, otoh, lost its forward and the #10 went into a funk, and eventually benched and then traded a senior player, who although past his prime, provided much needed leadership. Which is what we lack.

    1-3 for them.

Our # 10 went into a funk because his supporting cast was straight up garbage. He was never the issue.

Coaching and bench/starting players are where we sucked. Talent is temperamental, mediocrity is calm and steady, and rubbish is forever.

We've got more talent now than we've had in the last 6+ seasons. Hopefully a few younger more dynamic additions will push us past mediocrity.

Once again, though he may only get a few minutes but in those moments, he has to show his worth. Suerte Miranda.

    OG is back.

I have a hard time criticizing Bill, but should he be springing off his line to grab that ball?

Hard to tell from the view but it looked to me like Sam should have come back with Vincent.
