We don't have to worry about their fading-star linebacker busting up any of our guys. :D

    Rafa Marquez suspended three games

Maybe it is too soon to start this, but I kind of need to look past last night's game. Besides, there's nothing wrong with taking three for Chico on Sunday!

The team was on a pretty good roll. We get this three game home stand: Montreal, New York, and Houston. Montreal should be a gimme. But we make too many lineup changes, and walk away with a draw. That's two points gone that should have been ours. Why'd we make all those lineup changes? Because Olsen almost certainly thought we could get away with it (wrong) and then we'd have a fresh team to go up against New York this weekend. If that's the case then we better beat New York. It's the only thing that can make up for losing those two points that we should have had against Montreal. The disgraceful minimum for this three game home stand should be 4 points. Truth is we should be walking away with at least 6.

    Almost forgot!

    Nobody likes NY.

And less than that like NJ.

There once WAS a guy who liked NJ, but after the effects of the concussion wore off, he was much better from then on out.

I object to the title of this thread. Steers are male and, well, balsy. Heifers are young cows before they have had their first calf. "Pink Heifers" makes much more sense for a team still looking for its first calf, er, championship.

Um... a steer has been castrated before reaching sexual maturity, and therefore, cannot really be "balsy." On the other hand, I could get behind the female, immature nature of heifer. But, come on, I can't really get behind the idea of a bovine eunuch with a high pitched whiny voice being awesome.

    Reference source:

"Steers typically appear more feminine than bulls do, lacking the characteristic muscular hump and depth over the neck and shoulders. Sometimes, when steers and heifers are living together, the only way to tell if the animal you are looking at is a steer is if the vulva is absent. If there's nothing else under the tail except the anus, and said animal has no testes, then it's a steer. Steers are not born as steers, they are born as bull calves and are made into steers by the process of castration."

it speaks volumes that this lesson in agriculture is far more interesting than anything that might have to do with RBNY.

Everything is right with the world when I can open a thread about a game against the Team Formerly known as the NJ Metrostars of Harrison New Jersey Brought to You by the Number One Selling Cancer-Causing Energy Drink in NJ, and get a quick lesson in animal husbandry :)

    Not a ********ing one.

You know it's a good day when you have that in your head all day.

I only wish this worked like other sports and Marquez could appeal his suspension and continue to play while it was being adjudicated. I've never had a chance to personally explain my feelings to him and am sad that his terrible behavior costs me that opportunity.

If the MLS players had a real union like players in other American sports leagues, Marquez could appeal the suspension and we would have the well-deserved chance to yell out loud the moral inadequacies of Marquez' mother.

I'll take a win against TFKAM over a win against Montreal every time. Maybe Olsen thinks his chances on Sunday are better than I do.

I think three points was the minimum for these two games - getting anything from NY, who are scoring for fun lately, with DC's banged up defense was always going to be a challenge.

What's stopping us? We can do that anyway. Hell, let's do it to the rest of them, too, while we're at it. Their fathers aren't so hot, either...at least, if any of them knew who their fathers were. I mean, who goes paying for jersey gutter whores? That's where they can find 'em, I bet.

    I'm helping.
