Major League Soccer Extended Pre Season, 2018 Sat, May 27, 6:00 PM @The Dick, Commerce City, Colorado Colorado vs Sporting Kansas City Wizards TV is Altitude I'm sick of discussing the Philadelphia game so I started the new game thread. Somebody post injuries and suspensions, that was useful. It should be a beautiful night weather-wise for those of you that go, I can't make this one. I know you all wait with baited breath for my prediction. Well, they are in 1st with competent players and a competent coach. We are in last with neither. Game is not in Spanish. Weirdly, we will get a goal anyway, since this is MLS, and loose 2-1. By the other account it will be 2-2 (they get 2 goals, we get 2 shots on goal). And I predict another red card, guys are getting fustrated.
Nice, a tie! We are starting up another home win-streak! (based on the RFO's new measurement when speaking to Kroenke).
It's better than 20's and snow! In any event - my wife won a suite for the night so we'll be comfortable (and well fed).
It is just the same old cloud that has hovered above the Rapids the whole season. It keeps getting bigger, darker, and last a little longer each game. It has gone from city to city and followed the Rapids, too. Coincidence? I think not.
The Rapids were very upset after they got beat by SKC on the road last time. I wouldn't be surprised if Colorado came out pressed hard and got as many as 3 SOG. It's a matter of pride.
From your fingers to the soccer gods' ears. C'mon Howard That's a better retirement parting shot than Zidane!
Plus, we are making The Dick a fortress. That leads me to a 3 SOG game. Although SKC has a good defense, so now I am back at 1 SOG. The streak continues, we have less SOG's than the other team has goals! rod.
Last three matches for Sporting Kansas City: May 13, at Orlando, 2-2 draw. SKC had 89% passing accuracy overall, and some absurd number in one half, which I think was the second highest percentage in MLS history. They also had 14 shots, 8 on frame, 2 in the net. May 17, versus Seattle, 3-0 win. SKC slumped to 88% passing accuracy overall, had 12 shots, 6 on frame, 3 in the net. May 20, at Vancouver, 0-2 loss. SKC slumped again to 84% passing accuracy overall, had 13 shots, 7 on frame, but none in the net. Takeaways: SKC are ball hogs, and darned good at it. They actually have shots. And half of them are actually on frame. I know that sounds impossible based on what we usually see, but they really do this. They have 64 on frame this season. Colorado has 25. SKC has two goal scorers (Gerso and Dwyer) who together have one more goal than Colorado has as a team. Last year, Colorado had a defense. Now it's just a pretense. Howard's going to be busy. He's surrendered goals this year, frequently when the back line has gone AWOL. If SKC has 6-7-8 shots on frame, and the Rapids' back line is AWOL, half of those shots are going to find net. A logical solution would be to have the midfield disruptor stifle their attack to take pressure off the back line. Unfortunately, he's playing in Minneapolis, and their kickoff coincides with the start of the Colorado-SKC match. PRO's assignment for this disaster: REF: HILARIO GRAJEDA AR1: Cameron Blanchard AR2: Andrew Bigelow 4TH: Younes Marrakchi
The ref's name is Hilario? That's hilarious! As for the game, something has to break our way eventually: 1-0 Rapids win, goal by Badji

Looking for some transportation assist. Staying at Doubletree on MLK and Quebec. Any way to get to the game and not have to drive?
walk too the park in ride and at smith road- and take bus too stadium- or just uber- it only cost like $7 at most.
Uber? Lyft? Leaving the game is going to be your tough spot. In case this is your first time out to the Dick, there isn't much around. And transportation to and fro is almost non existent. Bus rides from bars downtown (Three Lions, British Bulldog). But you can go to the tailgate before the game, normally a good time and visitor friendly. South side of the stadium and starts three hours before the game.
Thanks for the replies. Uber there is the easy one. But you are right, getting out this the tricky part, I'd assume.
2-0 loss. SKC is one of the best offenses in the league and has a pretty good defense. We have the worst offense (by far) and our defense is questionable. This won't be pretty. http://view-from-the-couch.blogspot.com/2017/05/colorado-hopes-lightning-strikes.html
Nice article on Sjoberg in the Post. Inferred he will start. Also, maybe paired with a new central defenseman. I am going on a thin air 2-0 win, with KC resting some players. These are traditional scoring goals, not OG's R
