Almost immediately it went from doom-and-gloom about the season to how terrible this situation is.
I think the POs are a longshot and #3 or #4 extremely implausible. Toronto, Chicago, City, Red Bull, and Atlanta are all considerably better than us. And we play Orlando away twice. That's the ballgame there. Perhaps a rejuvenated Pipa & Santos spark us.
Like I said, the fan reaction has been amusing. It went from "sack everyone" to "this is a horrible situation and the horse show needs to leave us and our rapidly-disappearing cowtown image immediately" almost instantly.
Just checked sportsclubstats, and they show only a 4% chance that the Crew will finish 3rd or 4th. And frankly even that seems high. So why would the Crew even post this? It's likely to be a non-issue, and it's only served to stir up mockery. Just trying to trick some fans into thinking we might finish that high? Secure your playoff tickets now? (Perhaps a small shot at the current stadium location, in advance of a future hoped-for move?)
