Not that you will care but for Livi on the 360:

    Season 07/08

    ------- Snodgrass/Naismith - Dorrans/McPake/Riordan
    -------------------- Fernandez/Bingham
    Makel/Adam (loan)----------------------------- Walker
    ------------------ Cregg/McDonald
    Malone/Dixon - Mitchell/Wilkie - MacKay/Mensing - Thomson
    ------------------- McGregor/Amos (loan)

But I still need cover for defensive and right midfield.

Double, I see you have Samokishev. I would recommend him on any team in the world, he is simply brilliant for a 19 year older.

walter gaitan contract is unprotected at the start of the game.
you can always get him for free.
nice addition to have in a squad.

the FM scout genie is a very handy program.

    Atletico Madrid:

    GK - Leo Franco
    DR - Seitaridis/Valera
    DL - Antonio Lopez/Pernia
    DC - Perea
    DC - Pablo
    MR - Maxi Rodriguez
    ML - Petrov
    MC - Luccin/Gabi
    MC - Maniche/Jurado/Gabi
    FC - Torres/Mista
    FC - Aguero

Backups: Galletti, Ze Castro, Victor Bravo, Duscher (released by Deportivo)
Not needed: Costinha and the entire legion away on loan.

Hacking and defending my way at the top now, but I might still need another decent left winger and striker as cover. Plus the wage bill is out of this world, need to get it down really badly.

Hertha: Is Simunic still as good as he was on previous versions? He did wonders for me at the back when I was managing Croatia on 06.

    New York Red Bulls:

    GK - Nick Rimando
    DR - Marvell Wynne
    DL - Todd Dunivant
    DC - Nik Besagno
    DC - Steve Jolley
MR - Tonny Sanneh (Don't laugh. In 19 games, 8 goals, 6 assists, 4 MoM)
    ML - Heath Pearce
    MC - Amado Guevara
    MC - Francisco Pavon
FC - Carlos Ruiz (Leading the league with 23 goals in 26 games)
    FC - Edson Buddle/Josmer Altidore

I'm in first by 10 points with 6 games left in the regular season. Knocked out of Open Cup in the quarterfinals.

Not as good. I replaced him with Ponce and Samokishev. Ponce was free and Samokishev was <100K euros. Very good buys. SImunic is slower and is less imposing of a defender. But at 6'5" I reckon he's a good CB.

I also can't help but to put in reserve guys in some unimportant games like UEFA Cup or DfB Pokal. I love my B teams, I really do :D

I wish I could have half of your tolerance: Just put half of my B team (and you know how huge the B teams in Spain are) on the transfer list once they came back from loans.

Got in Giuly, Alex (Fenerbahce) and Nakamura on free transfers too, so it looks like 4-5-1 for next season.

    New game.

    Fowards:
    Kerlon
    Sergio Aguero
    Gonzalo Higuain
    Carlos Vela
    Falcao

    Midfielders
    Fernando Gago
    Aaron Lennon
    Sherman Cardenas
    Pablo Zabaleta
    Tom Huddlestone
    Luka Modric
    Andres Guardado
    Per Ciljan Skjelbred

    Defenders
    Ledley King
    Michael Dawson
    Patricio Araujo
    Anthony Vanden Borre
    Evander Sno
    Gareth Bale

    Goalkeepers
    Paul Robinson
    Babacan Volkan

(Got Carlos Elias, Matias Quintana and Nicolas Millan tearing it up on loan)

Gago has the highest average rating. First season came in 6th, next season won the UEFA Cup. Last season won the Prem, FA and League Cup, and inexplicably lost in the UEFA Cup quarter final. This season I've won every game in every competition entered so far.

How much did you pay for Gago and Higuain? Plan to get them by 2008/09, but Atletico are still in the red.

Around 13-15 million for each. I paid the most for Falcao, because I got in a bidding war with Roma, Arsenal and Real. 33 Million to get him.

    OH SHI-...

Looks like they won't be viable after all, since they both extended their contracts until 2010 at least. I guess I'm just going to have to hack them down in future then.

You get 30 something million at the start of the first season with Spurs. After one season, sold Berbatov, Keane, Defoe and Jenas for alot more then they're worth. Afterwards, you get rid of players like Malbranque, Chimbonda, Zokora, Mido etc, you have some money to spend.

30 mil is a huge budget by FM standards.
When I was in charge of dortmund they gave me an initial budget of 200,000 .
next season it was 1 million .

Dortmund has bad debt, plus English teams can spend more because htey don't have to go through the German licensing process.

    Just like in real life.................:(

Yeah money seems to be very tight in the last couple of games. I get to take on the UCL with a 1m euro transfer kitty. :)

the team was getting 80,000 crowds every game.
by the time I quit the game the team had about 40 million in the bank and gave me a 7 million transfer budget.

thanks to the scout genie I can get quality talent on budget deals.

Jeebus, 1m is a small budget. This season at Spurs they gave me 70 something. Getting bored though, so I might quit and start a new game.

A great find I made was Maxim Romaschenko of Dinamo Moscow. He's cheap (under 1M) and he's a scoring machine. The only problem is he is Non-EU, so if all your spots are taken up you can't sign him.

    go to

    program files/sports interactive/football manager 2007/data/db/701

delete everything from the all and ger folders..
this means the german league and german national team uses the proper data and not fictional data.
