So who are our options and who would you like to see?

If the top of my head here are some of our options:

    Juan Carlos Osorio
    Ricardo Gareca
    Héctor Cúper
    Alejandro Sabella
    Tata Martinon
    Óscar Pareja
    Ramon Diaz
    Marcelo Bielsa

Osorio has the job. It’s his to lose

Other option is Pekerman stays up till Copa America and we promote one of his assistant coaches. Maybe Cambiasso :)

Tho I really wish Yepes had gone to work for Pekerman.

Those are the only two realistic options.

Outside chance is Rueda but think he is much too serious of a person to leave Chile once he gave them his word.

If Osorio keeps winning, I could see the Mexican FA outpaying us or the US for him.

El Tigre Gareca and tata are interesting to me...

Martino rejected us twice before Pekerman accepted. Bielsa just signed for Leeds United. Not full yconvinced by Gareca yet,

Osorio is probably the only realistic one from that list and perhaps Gareca could happen.

I don't think any of the others have a chance and I personally don't like any of those guys.

    I don’t think it’s about money for Osorio ......

But Pekerman does make more then Osorio does.....

I prefer Rueda or if We win the WC then Pekerman stays and trains his replacement. Some of you want his assistant to be our coach.

I understand that but It’s draining and emotional enough just to enjoy these games. Let alone speculate as to who our next DT is.

Im a simpleton. I think one step at a time :)

I've defended Pekerman but his lack of drive to test our team (friendlies in terms of quality and quantity) and develop players with much higher potential than others has really bugged me.

Especially after today and the way how he managed our team in our first match of the world cup.

I feel like Osorio will leave Mexico because he himself has stated that they have the most demanding fans in the world and it is stressful. Hell Pekerman stopped managing Argentina in 2006 because of how they got aggressive with Germans after they lost.

And on top of that, Mexicans don't have appreciation for the guy and openly want him fired.

It's not always about money for these managers and as pointed out, Pekerman does currently make more money than Osorio.

    I am.
The guy would have a lot more resources and talent with Colombia than he has at Peru. I think he would have us playing some great futbol.

Seriously that guy is my top candidate as I have not kept it a secret for months around here.

    Post World CUp

New coach no more Pekermans Novias of Abel, Carlos Sanchez, Bacca, Teo, Gio Moreno, Cristian Zapata, Camilo Vargas.

So Gareca loses because he was an idiot and wanted to save Guerrero for France......(also qualifies with a lawsuit....... who coached us in 2002? Weren't we out by 1 goal? want that coach back if we had gotten in because of a lawsuit?

Osorio shocks the world with Mexico...... NEVER OSORIO !!!

The way I see it Gareca would have carte blanche power because he is an outsider from Argentina who took a team with less talent than Colombia in his very first National Team coaching gig to the Word Cup.

I like Osorio more than most here but I don't think he is ready to take over Colombia yet. Just too much pressure would be on him from the Federation, from the Media, from the fans on social media etc. (and his style and philosophy is just too different than what we are used to both tactically and physically demanding at the National Team level.)

Osorio's best bet at success is coaching the USA with less expectations and less pressure. Then ideally in my dream world after he takes USA to the Semis in 2026 he will lead Colombia further in 2030,

    Peru and Argentina are out

I’d like us to bring in Sampoli it’s not his fault Maradona and Messi run their team

Like to see him bring a pressing and 3 in the back to our NT if we don’t go the Osorio route

Every coach has done the same almost like they are forced to.

I am judging him on his Chile and Sevilla

Messi makes his friends gets called

    Maradona banned Icardi.

Think he or Osorio are our best options unless Brazil’s coach get fired :)

Then I will donate money to bring the Brazilian

Let's say what you say is all true (which we all know is based on your BS), why would you want Sampaoli as a DT who has NO BACKBONE and just say F*U buddy, this is the people's NT, play your best or go to the bench.
