Random thoughts and observations from the match: • Adrian Heath never looks happy. No matter what. • Conor Casey is getting more animated and involved on the sideline. • The wind was fairly strong and out of the north. Any ball that got some altitude was impacted. In the second half Howard seemed to underestimate its power - but once that almost worked to Rapids advantage. • There were some alcohol (I presume) fueled hijinks in the men's bathroom near gate H and halftime. • The special warmups were nice, hope that they get the price right on Wednesday night.
Forgot to mention that Jack Price is really working hard and tracking back on defense more than I recall from earlier in the season. In this match as well as the previous match Price has been blocking shots, etc. I think the pairing of Price and Acosta at holding mid is working well for both of them as it gives them the freedom to do what they each do best. For Acosta it's box-to-box play. For Price it's orchestrating the attack.
Kei Kamara and Lalas Abubakar should both be on the MLS team of the week. 💪 @keikamara was unstoppable on Saturday.@FlemingSport and @marcelobalboa17 take a look at Kei's performance against Minnesota.#Rapids96 | #Elevate pic.twitter.com/E5TGpi8UFC— Colorado Rapids (@ColoradoRapids) June 10, 2019
