They took care of business tonight, 2-1. Fagundez was a force. Wright with a nice goal to open his scoring for the Revs.
Wright drew the foul that resulted in Diego's FK and had another near miss. Overall strong performance by the former Vermont Catamount. I thought it was a solid performance by Watson -I wasn't expecting that.
Agree on both. Watson has looked much better at left mid than defending, but maybe it's just the USOC. DC defending on the Fagundez free kick was miserably bad (maybe an issue of players who don't play together enough).
Did the march from Harvard Square down to the game. Real good energy. Something to be said for a higher percentage of people in attendance actually caring. Have the Revs ever lost at Jordan Field?
- - - - Knighton - - - - Woodberry - Angoua - J Smith - D Smith Watson - Herivaux Bunbury - Fagundez - Femi - - - - Wright - - - - in - Kamara out - Wright (67') in - Farrell out - Woodberry (71') in - Nguyen out - Bunbury (75') unused subs - Turner, Tierney Ignoring the fact that they only had 5 players on the bench ( ), great effort by the team, and great result.
Knighton only faced one shot on goal (Ortiz' goal in the 7'). https://matchcenter.mlssoccer.com/m...-new-england-revolution-vs-dc-united/boxscore
Great job by the boys. Really proud of the work they put in yesterday, and actually even liked the subs made by Heaps for a change. Nothing bad to say about the game itself. But please, Dear God Heaps ... don't insult our f'in intelligence.

If that's the case, probably no Angoua, Caldwell, Koffie, Daigo, Delamea, Rowe or Kouassi this weekend either.
They had a shot in the second half that must have hit the crossbar. I was at the opposite end so it was hard to tell, I though Knighton had gotten a hand to it.
I know these Harvard games are small potatoes attendance, but they are my favorite Revs events to attend. Some near me last night, who came in from well outside Boston, commented "I think this is what it's supposed to be like."
I've never been able to go to one of these because they never work for my schedule, but I've been to Breakers games at that field when they've had large crowds for the venue and even those just have a different feeling because it is packed. Even 20K at Gillette can feel cold. Really takes 30K or more to feel a buzz in that place. The Revs braintrust has to know this, they're not that stupid. But getting an urban stadium built won't happen unless it is a complete financial no-brainer for them. Part of me understands - the land isn't going to be cheap, the infrastructure improvements will have to happen, the pols and community leaders will want to be greased. I just wish I had a spare few hundred million lying around so I could do it for them.
For all who watched the broadcast of the match: What was the little dust-up at the end of the match? Was there a call for a PK by DC players?
